From its humble beginnings in the quaint Hudson River town of Piermont, New York, Olar was known for serving up rustic Neapolitan pies, classic Spanish tapas, and hand crafted pastas that drew in both locals and foodies from all parts of New Jersey, upstate New York, and New York City and kept them coming back for over a decade.

Now in its new location in Northvale, New Jersey, the restaurant, now known as Olar Noso - which means "our home" in Galego, the language spoken in Galicia where the Dominguez family is from - is an evolution in not only name alone.
They have managed to scale the restaurant concept generously while replicating the quality and preserving the reputation the former Olar had garnered over the years. Evolving into Olar Noso meant giving Olar's loyal customers everything they loved, while also enhancing their experience with more seating, more elbow room, a full bar, a private event space, and, finally, ample parking.

We had the best paella I've ever tasted. I definitely recommend the Valenciana, it's delicious! The wait staff was as friendly and attentive as always, and the food was excellent as ever!

Always an amazing meal with seasonal specials that knock your socks off. Great service, phenomenal wine, list, great cocktails, and phenomenal food.

By far, one of the most special and fantastic restaurants around! Consistent and deliscious and creative menus! Brenda is probably one od best cocktail queens on the planet. Never dissapointed at OLAR!

Olar Noso is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious meal and exceptional service. Absolutely the best restaurant in area. I'll choose this restaurant again and again.

I enjoyed another terrific meal at Olar last evening! Staring with delicious special cocktails, we enjoyed everything ordered: meatballs, arugula and fig goat cheese salad, garlic shrimp and the Salmon entrée. We enjoyed every bite and cleaned all the plates! The service was excellent as my girlfriend and I were reconnecting after some time and they were wonderful and worked with our pace. If have yet to dine at Olar, don't wait!

It’s our second time around and we had a good experience both times. The artichoke pizza was much better the first time -this time it was soggy and lacked in flavor. The flatbread was really good and the spaghetti special with bottarga was delicious as was my ceviche special. The polenta crostini was underwhelming and the potatoes were delicious. Our server didn’t have much personality which didn’t really add to the ambiance. We will return!
