Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar serves up a fusion of Japanese and California cuisine in a chic contemporary restaurant space that has an L.A./Hollywood vibe. Custom décor includes gold Kriskadecor chains hanging from the ceiling, a 4-foot high bronze Buddha and a life-size, petrified Japanese cherry blossom tree at the center of the restaurant. A “Geisha Angel” mural adorns a wall in the bar.
Beyond an expansive sushi menu, there is something for everyone including skewers from the Robata Grill, Salads, Toban Yaki Steak, Tempura, Chicken, Beef and Fish Entrees, and of course, delicious desserts like Green tea Panna Cotta. The full bar features signature cocktails such as the Geisha Girl and Lychee Martini, as well as sake, wine and beer.

You will be treated like family at Okura, where you can expect impeccable service in addition to premium quality food. We want to welcome you to visit us and enjoy the Okura experience!

The food was excellent and the ambience was very good. We had a party of 8 which triggers a 20% automatic tip charge. Not unexpected, but service could’ve been better. It was a birthday celebration and deserts were comped — a nice touch. We won’t return because of their payment policy. They will not split the $600 check. It’s one bill for the table and the diners have to figure out who pays what. There are too many very nice restaurants in our area with systems that will easily accept separate checks for 4 couples. The experience was not good enough to overcome this drawback.

Food was great as was ambience. Server was fantastic. We go here often. My only complaint is the hostess stand and girls running lot always seem like they don’t know what they are doing. This has always been the case even when they were in the old location. The only time it seemed to run better was when the owner was there Other than that everything was great !!

We made reservations to celebrate someone’s retirement and they gave us a room all to ourselves. We had exceptional over-the-top customer service. The food was excellent. It was fresh, delicious and very well presented. Definitely worth going.

Loved every dish. The servers know the menu inside and out. Each dish was perfectly served. Love the decor! I’ve come here as long as this has been in the location and it’s always the same.. perfect!

We had reservations and were sat quickly. Food was fresh and delicious. Excellent service and beautiful ambience. It’s quite loud but still enjoyable .

Went here for my birthday since Okura is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the desert. Food was good as usual but there was a baseball game going on in the bar area and the patrons were obnoxiously loud and kept screaming during the game. I am surprised that this was going on in a fairly upscale restaurant. Spoiled some of ambiance and was not able to enjoy fully my out-of-town guests.

We’ve always had pleasant experiences at Okura, from service to food. The staff is gracious and accommodating. The food is very good, flavorful and presented nicely. We had a 6:15 reservation and were seated promptly. The server was prompt and courteous. Apparently, there was a large party at the time we were there. Our server communicated that the appetizers we ordered were taking longer than expected as a result of the large party and asked if we wouldn’t mind having our sushi first and apps after. The fact that he took the time to explain the situation and provide options was greatly appreciated and allowed us to have a pleasant and relaxing experience, overall. I recommend Okura
