Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar serves up a fusion of Japanese and California cuisine in a chic contemporary restaurant space that has an L.A./Hollywood vibe. Custom décor includes gold Kriskadecor chains hanging from the ceiling, a 4-foot high bronze Buddha and a life-size, petrified Japanese cherry blossom tree at the center of the restaurant. A “Geisha Angel” mural adorns a wall in the bar.
Beyond an expansive sushi menu, there is something for everyone including skewers from the Robata Grill, Salads, Toban Yaki Steak, Tempura, Chicken, Beef and Fish Entrees, and of course, delicious desserts like Green tea Panna Cotta. The full bar features signature cocktails such as the Geisha Girl and Lychee Martini, as well as sake, wine and beer.

You will be treated like family at Okura, where you can expect impeccable service in addition to premium quality food. We want to welcome you to visit us and enjoy the Okura experience!

This was our first time dining at Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar. The food was very good, but the service was terrible! I saw other people also complained about the service being very slow. I wish the service matched the excellent quality of the food! I will give the restaurant another try however, in hopes of better service!

During a recent visit to Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar in La Quinta, several aspects of the dining experience fell short of expectations. We always have a great meal at Okura! Food, service & ambiance are excellent! Prices maybe a bit high but it’s the best sushi around!

Didn’t know (nor was told) they had a back room which felt like a dungeon….had reservations yet they stuck us in a dark dingy old room. Horrible experience and not what we expected at all! We specifically went for the ambience and food. For the price of the food, should have a better experience.

We booked our reservation well in advance and we showed up they had overbooked the main dining area and took us to a side room that was terrible ( like eating in a box! )

Was in town for the holidays and took a friend here for a birthday dinner. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Had a 6:15 reservation and was seated pretty close to on time. Was happy they sat us near the sushi bar, as the noise level in the main dining area was very loud. As a sushi lover I will say the quality of the fish was excellent, very very fresh. Our server was busy as a bee but was very nice and attentive to us. We had ZERO complaints about the evening. Will definitely dine here again next time I'm back in town.
