Second time here in a week, excellent food in quiet, but pleasant surroundings. This was student takeover night, if this is what the students can produce, then formidable (French accent mandatory). Delectable food, we skipped the starter so we had room for pud. We walked out stuffed and all for £25/head. Not London prices at all. My one and only criticism was that the choice of beers was limited, not all that was shown on the menu was available and the draught beers had not yet been installed. Still, plenty to go at. Definitely coming back next time we're in London.

Superb! Really tasty, well cooked food, served in a clean, well presented restaurant by attentive and professional staff and at a great price. Who could want more? Being incredibly picky, the only criticisms I could possibly make are that the lasagne could have been served a shade hotter and that the belly pork could have done with rendering a touch more before it was crisped up. Neither of these points impacted on our enjoyment of the meal in any way. The desserts were also excellent and the coffee was the best I've had in a long time.

This is an excellent restaurant with exceptional food. I would regard it as Michelin star quality but at a fraction of the price. The service and ambience are great too. We will certainly be back soon!

This was a Thursday night student take-over - a 9 course sharing menu (£35) with, if you wanted it, a 6 variety drink pairing (extra £49… 4 wines, special coffee and a Negroni). Both food and drinks were excellent - it wasn’t until around course 5 that we realised the whole meal was vegetarian! Being an active teaching/workplace learning environment things may not always run smoothly, but we all had to learn our own skills once upon a time and this all adds to the charm and character of the experience. Honestly, if you’ve never been you really are missing out!

Superb experience, very friendly welcome , prompt and efficient service.Simple however delicious food, champagne cocktail, reasonably priced...will definitely be back and recommend

Absolutely love coming here: changing menu, good choices, excellent value plus helping the students develop. We both had the beef casserole as a main with a salad and chips as sides to share and a dessert each. We also had 3 cocktails between us which accounted for nearly half the price of the meal, so if you’re looking to save money stick with the table water. What never ceases to amaze and impress me is how busy OKN1 is.

It’s our second visit to this unique restaurant; it’s a college training restaurant for students leaning to enter the trade. It’s such a great idea and both times my partner and I have thoroughly enjoyed a warm welcome, lovely restaurant ambience and excellent food! We will definitely be going back again and so happy to support these students as they train to a very high standard. Bravo!

Comfortable and clean, really friendly staff who were welcoming and hospital . Varied menu choice , including vegetarian , meat and fish dishes . Very tasty food, we really enjoyed our lunch , amazing value Thanks to all the students , and a special thanks to Gabriella for her warmth and professionalism
