Very pleasant and a great outdoor experience with a guitar player singing. He had an awesome list of music. We go to Oggi quite often and just love it here.

Very disappointing overall. The crab cakes were more mashed potato texture and not much crab. The gnocchi were OK, the sauce was good. The veal parmagiann was sloppy on the plate and the veal was over-cooked. The cappuccinos were delicious. Our server was new and he was polite and attentive.

Went with friends from Florida on a WAGJAG voucher on Wed. Aug. 28. Place was very busy, both on patio and in dining rooms, voucher expired on the 30th. Arrived on time for our 6:30 pm reservation. Waited a very long time for the server to arrive, and when she finally did, the house wine we ordered "had not yet arrived" but "was 20 minutes away" (?!?) so we had to order more expensive wine from menu. Waited so long for the apps to come (8 pm) that people beside us spoke on our behalf to another server, asking that at the very least, some bread be brought to our table. (They told us they had had the same long wait.) Bruschetta - once it came - was delicious. Waited an interminably long time for mains to arrive. (Our reservation was for 6:30, we arrived on time - mains arrived at 8:30.) One pasta dish was good. Two scaloppini dishes were very salty. The lobster on the lobster with linguine dish was so overcooked, it was very dried out and almost impossible to cut through. Sauce on linguine was most forgettable. Throughout this long evening, it was very, very difficult to get the server's attention. Finally the manager/owner came over, and we listed all of our grievances. He was unapologetic about the long waits between courses, and the long waits between visits from our server, saying that many people had vouchers, so it was busier than usual. (Maybe a little planning would have anticipated this volume.) To our complaint about the salty scaloppini dishes, his response was "Well, you ate it didn't you?" At no time did he offer an apology or anything in the form of compensation for any of our complaints and was most insincere and ungracious. We left a very minimal tip, and declined the dessert and $25 voucher to be used on a future visit that were included in the original voucher. We have no use for the voucher, as we will never return to this establishment. As a footnote, he followed us out the door, saying that if we wrote a review, he would certainly respond!

We have just moved to Grimsby and trying out the local restaurants. This didn’t disappoint. Food was delicious, service was good and what I believe was the owner spoke with us on a few occasions to ensure everything was to our liking. This will be a regular spot for us going forward.

Ate dinner on the patio. Wonderful ambience and looking forward to our meal. We waited nearly an hour for our main course. Owner was around and told us what the issue was. When the food came it was not what I ordered. Forgot the mushrooms for the fettuccine special and said it would come in a cream sauce. Not sure what the sauce was…very oily and not at all creamy. They did come around later with a bowl of mushrooms but by that time fettuccine was cold. Very dissatisfied. The manager did comp us a 20% discount on our food but all the same it was disappointing. Ambience was so nice that I wanted to come back with my husband but sadly not now.
