Offshore is a bright and airy rooftop bar open year-round on the third floor at the East end of Navy Pier. With collapsable floor to ceiling windows you get sweeping views of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s city skyline. Our globally inspired menu features items from coast to coast that include light to substantial fares.

Outdoor seating is not guaranteed! It is on a first come first served basis.
21 years of age and older after 9pm daily.
The last reservation is one hour before closing.

Offshore offers several unique options for booking your next event for groups of 15-950. Guests have the opportunity to buy-out the 8,500 square foot indoor space, with curvy, custom brass whistle-shaped light fixtures, captain chairs, and oversized “playpens” made of a mashup of geometric cushions specifically designed for socializing. Guests can also opt to celebrate on the 20,000 square foot Terrace, where two private lawns act as a destination for group gaming, social and corporate events, weddings, and more paired with a completely unique perspective of the Chicago skyline not found anywhere else.

Food and service were terrible. We had to ask the server if we could order food. Then another server brought us out food and we never saw the server again and had to flag her down for the check. Fish tacos had absolutely no taste and the “soft shells” were hard as hard shells. Value for price paid is 0 out of 10. Never got refills on our drinks. Restaurant wasn’t even busy and did guess the server had 4 tables total. If it weren’t for the view and location this place would not survive. Worst $125 I’ve spent on food. McDonald’s would have been better.

Service was horrible. The place was empty and we still had to wave down our server every time we needed anything. Sat there for 15 minutes before the server even came over and asked us what kind of drinks we wanted. Again, the place was empty but she was hanging with the other employees at the bar talking. Unfortunately I do not believe we will be going back. We are both very put off by this after spending 4 days in the city. Every place was very nice, very attentive. This place was just horrible.

We had an enjoyable lunch yesterday at Rooftop. The food was excellent, service good and the scenery was amazing. I love going there and can't wait to go again. I had the french Toast which was the most delicious French Toast I have ever had. My friend had the traditional breakfast and he liked it too. I recommend this to anyone. But be sure to make a reservation! It is very popular especially on Sundays. A. Lane

First time at the venue. Met with several college friends from the early 1980s. Everyone seemed to enjoy the venue, food, and drinks. We discussed returning at some point when it is warmer.

What a great experience! Our server, Abe, was so helpful and pleasant! The rooftop restaurant is surrounded by the gorgeous Lake Michigan. It was a sunny day and the Lake didn’t disappoint. The food, was above expectations. We live nearby and had been here when they first opened, and while good, we put it into the tourist category, which was a huge mistake. We are vegetarians, and they have really upgraded the selections and food quality! I had the plant based Steak, and OMG, if I didn’t know better, I would have thought it was a real steak from an upscale steakhouse. The accompanying asparagus was cooked to perfection. My husband had the seasonal pasta and raved about fresh, well cooked ingredients, even down to the garlic bread. We put it on our rotation list, and I would say it’s a “don’t miss”. They hit it out of the park!
