Officina [oh · fee · she · nah], or “workshop,” is an Italian-inspired culinary collective from Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin-star Masseria, Philotimo, and the newly opened Le Clou. Officina seeks to bring the very best of Italian gastronomy to Washington, D.C., and is an ode to Stefanelli’s travels, training, and distinctly Italian-American upbringing.

We look forward to welcoming you for unique experiences that capture the essence of Italy. From sunset cocktails atop our Terrazza or a weekday lunch in our Cafe.

Loved the restaurant and service. However my ravioli was undercooked so it felt like cardboard in my mouth. My husband’s bolognese was uninspired and tasteless. Overpriced and unappetizing

It was an amazing experience the staff was very at tentative. The food was great; the waitress knew the menu well!

The food was decent. I was expecting so much more because of the reviews and location. I had the lobster tortellini and it came with 5 or 6 medium size tortelloni and nothing else. That was disappointing. The fritto misto wasn’t very tasty and their drinks were bitter. We picked this place for the rooftop view at sunset but there really isn’t a view of much other than more of the wharf and bridge. Service wasn’t the best for a slow Saturday night. There were only 3-4 tables seated when we got there. It wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t go back again or recommend.

This was one of the best dinners we have ever had, including Europe! The pasta cannot be beat! Our preteens and ourselves raved over every dish. The service was fantastic, friendly and timely. It was our 11yr olds bday and they gave her a card with a Chick-fil-A free dessert card in it! She was thrilled with that AND a free dessert. It was the best experience and meal of our whole time in DC!

Go for the specials, I guess. The pasta were middling at best. The cacio e pepe had no pepper!

We went out to dinner before heading to a show over at The Anthem and it definitely could have been better. As a girlie from Northern VA, maybe this is normal in DC and I just didn’t know but there are some things we wish we would have known: 1) no refills on soda 2) you have to order all of your food at one time Now for our specific experience feedback: 1) waitress seemed to know nothing about the menu. We asked her about certain things and she had no response or just repeated the same thing; 2) my friends pasta came out cold. Not warm, straight up cold. To be fair, they took it back and warmed it up but still not a great experience and 3) mine was okay, not what I expected but fine enough… however, it had a nice wirey gray hair in it. Probably would not recommend this place unless in a pinch. The bar area seemed fun though!

We stumbled on this restaurant our first night in DC. Love the atmosphere, the lobster tortellini was amazing! The menu and service was fantastic. It was well worth our time.

I never miss a chance to visit Oficina every time I’m in town. I always bring business partners for dinner. Great service and fantastic wine. Very helpful sommelier.
