Officina [oh · fee · she · nah], or “workshop,” is an Italian-inspired culinary collective from Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin-star Masseria, Philotimo, and the newly opened Le Clou. Officina seeks to bring the very best of Italian gastronomy to Washington, D.C., and is an ode to Stefanelli’s travels, training, and distinctly Italian-American upbringing.

We look forward to welcoming you for unique experiences that capture the essence of Italy. From sunset cocktails atop our Terrazza or a weekday lunch in our Cafe.

We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary at Officina and it was awesome! We loved sitting outside on the covered patio and had a great view of the water and D.C. The food was delicious and the service awesome! This is our second time there and we will be going back! The ambiance was sensational.

I have been before but this time I can honestly say I think they forgot about us the whole night. And the restaurant was not even that busy (it was a Wednesday). Such a shame because the food did not disappoint.

The check in service was a bit fragmented and took a bit longer than necessary but everyone was nice. Food was excellent all around. Started with Frito Misto for the table. It's a small portion but for us it worked out fine. The calamari was tender, the shishito peppers were good. We did not find many shrimp at all though. I had the stuffed calamari which was excellent. Wife and friend both had the branzino and loved it. I did order a side of broccolini which did not arrive but as it turned out, this was good because my calamari was plated with a nice serving of broccoli. It was half price wine Wednesday which was a bonus. Well done.

Delicious food, lovely host and wait staff, nicely decorated. Just a little too loud, we couldn't really hear ourselves or the wait staff until near the end of the night (they turned down the music near the end of the evening which made the experience much better).

They really took care of us. Service was responsive, attentive but not overbearing. Food was great. Lovely setting.

Well, we hoped to be seated at the kitchen counter - but apparently that isn't a thing anymore, and despite my request on Open Table, no one said anything. So we were sat on the 3rd floor, which was very warm, and we had no view as we were sat near the bar. So I watched the staff hanging out, as it was a slow night, and my husband facing the windows kept me up to date on the other guests. No the ambience we were looking for, so I wish the staff had reached out to update our request, because I would have requested 2nd floor (air conditioned, at least some view of kitchen action). No, I didn't ask at the time, because I had never been on the 3rd floor, so was willing to have a new experience, but it was disappointing. That said - the food was fab! Enjoyed our carpaccio and salad, as well as our pasta, cocktails, and wine selection.

Truly, a wonderful experience – delectable food, and outstanding service. The host went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one and the food was the best meal I’ve had in ages.

We had an amazing celebration! Service was impeccable. Our sommelier Justin provided us with wine tastings to ensure we had the best pairing for our meals. Our waiter Jordan was also very helpful in helping us choose our dinner. Niesha was a rock star! She gave us the best table on the rooftop and was very attentive to all our needs. We will be returning often!!
