   The Octagon presented us with a 5 star experience from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. We drove from Savannah for my husband’s birthday and they even gave us a birthday slice of cake that was to die for. Absolute must eat.

   Octagon is in a beautiful setting with lovely views. It is in the main hotel building whereas the other restaurants on property are in more of a town setting. The food was good but not outstanding in my opinion. I was annoyed to see the shrimp and grits price was 18 dollars higher than what is listed on the online menu. All the other prices were accurate. The restaurant was very busy for lunch, but not overly noisy and our service was attentive, and food was served in a good time. Some of our party had the seafood cobb salad which looked delicious, and others had the grilled fish sandwich. Today's fish was red snapper. The sandwich came with a side - be aware there is an upcharge for truffle fries which wasn't clearly conveyed. All in all I don't feel it was worth the drive from Hilton Head, but it is a lovely property to explore if you have additional time to spend.

   Took my friend for a lunch to celebrate her special Birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! The customer service outstanding. Highly recommended to All.

   Impeccable service and food! The oysters were small but delicious, the stir fried crab rice was also excellent, and you cannot go wrong with the burger and some of the best crispy fries I’ve ever had!

   Wonderful attentive server, lovely day and atmosphere…outside table. Oysters/ fried okra salads were all amazing

   Excellent service and food! I think we would have preferred to be in the front dining room as opposed to the back - it was a little chilly in the back dining room and front dining room had a warmer ambiance. I would go back for sure.

    Foods good, everything else is least to be desired. If you like $34.00 martinis while eating in an upscale college cafeteria, with screaming children, choppy layout, crowded bar and bright lighting then I would highly recommend the Octagon. Love Palmetto Bluff, but for the price eating at octagon is not worth the dinner reservation. Only for lunch. I Would recommend Riverhorse, and if the Montage cant get you into Canoe Club, then eat at riverhorse or bluffton for fine dining. The Montage gets you because if your staying on site and all there restaurants are booked….which happens, your stuck. They simply can charge whatever they want. Blackberry Farm does the same but atleast they can justify the food service and ambience.
