My experience at the Oceans 999 Buffet was decent, but I was hoping for more variety. While the selection felt a bit limited, the food itself was good. They had a solid range of salads and plenty of healthy choices, including salmon and poached eggs with a creamy sauce. There were also some dim sum items like siu mai and har gow, along with bacon, sausage, and stir-fried chicken. I especially enjoyed the tuna poke bowl—it was fantastic. They had lamb as well, which isn’t my favorite, but it was still well-prepared. There was a variety of desserts, and the shrimp options were great too. The dessert selection was nice, and I enjoyed it overall. The staff was wonderful—no complaints there. They were really attentive. Would I go back? Maybe, but probably not on regular days. I’ve heard they offer more variety during festive seasons, so I’d consider returning then to try the crabs. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but I was just a bit disappointed because I expected more.

Decided to stay close to the hotel due to rainy cold weather and booked the jazz night buffet. Young trio of musicians from the local university were very good. Nice pasta station and friendly staff.

It was HUGELY DISAPPOINTING considering how upscale this restaurant was supposed to be. Firstly, even though I booked weeks ago & requested a view table for my special guest from Australia, we arrived early & even though I repeated my request in person, we were relegated to the back, against concrete walls & sandwiched between a huge table cramped with at least 10 extremely loud diners! Next, the waiters were overworked because of so many diners. Our used dirty plates & cutlery were sitting on a tiny table after we waited a long time for our main course! I started stacking the dirty plates MYSELF & almost carried them to the kitchen when a waitress finally showed up! Where is the service? Where is the professionalism? It's utterly ridiculous we had to stack our plates as if we were paying food court prices!! Pan Pacific Vancouver should hang its head in shame for sullying the good name of Beautiful British Columbia! Hire MORE STAFF to ensure a stellar service to all your patrons! Also, the live band was more dead than lively!..We were also seated in the far back waters & there was more din than music! A high-fidelity sound system would have been better! Hence if there were a -5 rating they deserve that! Pull up your breeches, Pan Pacific Vancouver! 😠😑
