For our first experience, it was pretty good. My girlfriend started with an espresso martini, which she described as a nice drink overall. For appetizers, we went with calamari, jumbo shrimp cocktail and crabcake. The crabcake was very heavy on the crab and the sauce was slightly watered down. Calamari was okay and the shrimp cocktail was my personal favorite out of the three. The shrimp was huge and the cocktail sauce mixed with horseradish was delicious. Entree, we did redfish and had the truffle mashed potatoes and spinach for the sides. The entree exceeded expectations for both of us. Overall, the food was good. Service had its moments of being slow, but it didn’t ruin the dining experience overall. We really appreciated the personal touch that our waiter displayed by arranging for us to have a cheers to celebrate our anniversary.

This was my first experience here and I must admit it did NOT disappoint!!! Our waiter, Andre took the reins and gave us a great experience. It was a birthday celebration we’ll definitely remember. Also the support staff and manager were very helpful and friendly. The food was great and the drinks were as well. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. Well done!

The gumbo was excellent. Both me and my guest felt The Louie salad had a lot of issues. For a salad it had way too many capers and olives which made the salad very very salty especially since fete cheese was also a part of the salad which is a very salty cheese. Those items appeared to be fillers, also there was only one shrimp sliced in half and used on two salads. Getting by at no extra cost but making the same money on two. There was entirely too much iceberg lettuces. It was obvious that they wanted to take part in this premotion but wanted to use the cheapest route. There were other greens in the salad but the ratio to the iceberg was minimal to say the least. They need more than two vinaigrettes on their menu, not enough of a selection. A restaurant that size and only two vinaigrettes seems lacking to me when you look at the prices of their regular items and the price. Also no bread was offered to our table however it was given to others which led us to believe it was because we ordered off the Houston Restaurant menu. Bad idea for their PR. People use that promotion month to decide if they want to return there to eat after the premotion.

Have never been disappointed eating at this restaurant. The food is delicious. Our wait staff, Juan, is the best.

Inedible. I was so disappointed in my overall experience with the Oceanaire. Upon our arrival we sat at our table between 5-7 minutes before being greeted or offered water. Our 1st course was delicious, shrimp cocktail and gumbo. Second course took almost 40 minutes to come out and it was terrible. The Mahi was overcooked and dry and the vegetables did not taste fresh. I took about 3 bites and decided it wasn’t worth eating anymore. It was that awful. My partners entree was better but over cooked/burnt. Majority of the redfish was stuck to the skin. Mac and cheese was 10/10 Delicious but it did not make up for the overall experience. Manager came to ask if I enjoyed my meal and usually I would have just said yes, I couldn’t. I told him it was very disappointing and he apologized and tried to make it right or bring me a new dish, I declined and he said it would take care of it on the bill. Desert was hit or miss . My chocolate torte was yummy but the key lime pie was not executed well. Got the bill, they did “not “take care of the Mahi, but I was so ready to get out of there, I paid the entire bill- tipped and left. Will not be back

It was my first time here. Food is fair. Location is great, inside The Galleria. Price is special occasion price. And that's it.
