Opening December 21, 2024, Ocean Prime is a nationally acclaimed, dynamic seafood & steakhouse from the award-winning Cameron Mitchell Restaurants located in the The Quay Sarasota. Ocean Prime delivers an elevated experience with exceptional ambiance, a chef-curated menu, signature handcrafted cocktails, Wine Spectator honored wine list and genuine hospitality. Reservations are recommended. Ocean Prime strives to provide an elegant, fine dining atmosphere. Our associates’ priority is to ensure your experience is memorable. An official excellent restaurant with great service and incredibly flavorful food and drinks. Pretty loud but it was New Year’s Eve so people were having fun! Incredible that the restaurant has been open less than 2 weeks.

The restaurant is beautiful. We sat outside and the outlook is pretty. Attentive staff. Very friendly and respectful. The oysters, exclusive to Ocean Prime were really good. As was the crab cocktail that my husband chose. I had the lamb which was really good. The steak was average. His fries turned up tainted with truffle - which he hates. These were returned and came out fresh when he had nearly finished his meal. . Unfortunately our friends steak was undercooked and had to be sent back. Never the same when it comes out again, and he was disappointed. The waitress gave him a complimentary carrot cake. Which we shared. That was light and delicious. All in all a nice evening. Pricey for what we had. There are only two restrooms - inadequate for the number of tables.

We were seated outside and it was comfortable. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and not being a mushroom or Truffle person, I wish that I had asked our waiter to leave that off. I will say that while walking through the dining room to be seated outside, the dining room seemed to be very warm inside. It was also loud in there.

Great food and service! Unfortunately the air conditioning did not seem to be operating correctly and we were too warm!

New Years Eve and really busy however, our server was great with keeping the pace flowing without being rushed! Awesome meal with flavorful steak's, sea bass, sushi- Will be back to try more for sure ….
