Opening December 21, 2024, Ocean Prime is a nationally acclaimed, dynamic seafood & steakhouse from the award-winning Cameron Mitchell Restaurants located in the The Quay Sarasota. This was a wonderful dining experience. Sat outside on covered and heated upstairs patio and was perfectly comfortable on a chilly 40f evening. Service was impeccable and Kristian B our waiter added to our enjoyment of the evening. Started with cocktails and Tuna Tartare - so delicious-would go back just for that. Perfectly cooked medium rare filet with blue cheese crust and fresh grouper with lobster gnocchi in a light lemon sauce were divine. Couldn't have had a better experience for our first night dining in Sarasota.

Our food was excellent and our server had expert knowledge of the entire menu. Highly recommend for special occasions. We loved our experience and meal.

Bar seating is a little nosier then other seating, but more action. Outside dining is also more quite.

Have always been a huge Ocean Prime fan. It was delicious however, we found the lobster bisque to be lacking in sherry flavor and was quite spicy. We prefer bisque to not to be spicy. The sea bass was superb as well as the butter cake. Great service! Valet was very timely. Wonderful fine dining overall. We will return soon!

This is a lovely new restaurant in downtown Sarasota. The staff is friendly and perfect in execution. Our food was fresh and tasty. We had the filet with crabmeat, the cowboy ribeye, the 16oz boneless rubeye and the seafood cobb salad. And the shrimp appetizer is to die for. It is quite pricey especially the wines so come prepared but come!

Our service was impeccable... nick was our server. We had to send 1 dish back just to cook a little more. No big deal and they handled it with grace. The view is amazing. It was only a little noisy because a couple big parties were seated next to us. Will definitely be back and love they have valet as it was cold and raining.

We ere seated next to the Bar. Extremely Noisy Downstairs to the point all of us had severe Headache and did not enjoy the meal. The food was good and very pricey

Food was impeccable. I had grouper; my partner had steak. We started with oysters. Ended with 10 layer carrot cake. Noise level difficult: hard to hear waiter or for him to hear us. Sourdough bread was a true winner. Would like to return for outside dining.

We sat in the lower level at a booth and had a view of the room. Open and light, modern decor. A nice change for a steak house being usually dark inside. The menu is interesting and has lots of variety. The grouper was prepared perfectly as was the steak. Drinks were delicious and the service was outstanding. Will definitely be back here!
