Luke and Ricki were a great team. Food was good. Booze flowed and everyone was smiling. It was a fine experience.

This was my first and likely last time at Ocean Prime. The restaurant is a very nice art deco design with the usual offerings of a high end seafood restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait a few minutes. There really is no bar option for waiting so we stood in the lobby with others who were also waiting on their reservation. We were then seated in a booth in the interior of the restaurant away from the view. Though the restaurant boasts a river view, most of the seating has no view. It took 10 minutes for a waiter to acknowledged us and take drink orders. It was a Saturday night so we chalked it up to being busy. Overall, the waitress was very good. The wine list is ridiculously overpriced even for an upscale restaurant. Most wines were 4X retail. That type of gouging is unacceptable. The food was as good as was expected. The highlight was the Ocean sushi roll. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and delicious. The smoked Gouda tater tots were marvelous as were the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Overall it was a nice meal but there are much better places in Chicago for upscale seafood.

Had a great seat! Felt like VIP. Came in from out of town and was recommended to try Ocean Prime. Our server was amazing. Very attentive. The Berries & Bubbles was an amazing craft cocktail to try. The management team does a great job! Touching tables and greeting guests. Love the attention to detail!

Room/ambiance, food, drinks, and service; all exceptional. Couples night out, we had a great dinner before catching a show. We look forward to comeback and happy to recommend. !

Great experience with our server Anissa. Crab cocktail and salad appetizers were delicious. Well-crafted with high quality ingredients. The steak was slightly undercooked. We didn’t complain but our server perceptively noticed something wasn’t quite right. She and her manager were very gracious and went above and beyond to make our experience 5 stars. Will absolutely be back.

Great food and a fun atmosphere. Spacious yet felt small. Best steak I’ve had in a long time, and the potatoes and brussel sprouts were tasty.

Prime roll, calamari, jalapeño au gratin, mushrooms, creamed spinach, ribeye and sea bass were all terrific. We got a seasonal dessert that was great as well.

Our Hilltopper server was great, so was the food.. We had a nice secluded table and made it to the show on time...
