At the heart of town right on the beach in Philipsburg you will find the Holland House Beach Hotel. The Ocean Lounge restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate, have a casual dinner overlooking the ocean, relax and sample the cuisine created by the international mix of chefs. The restaurant offers a beautiful evening setting with an open air lounge cool music and boutique style vibe. The bar serves craft cocktails and a wide selection of wines from the Wine Spectator awarded wine cellar. Staff will welcome you with a warm Caribbean smile and courtesy and offer you the lunch or dinner menu full of International, European and local Caribbean dishes like the fresh Spiny Lobsters from the Saba bank. Hands down, it is one of our best dining experiences on the island! Our server was terrific, and it made us feel special with a birthday celebration while playing “Celebrate” by Kool & the Gang and took amazing photos of us. They also played old-school Jah Cure, which matched the vibe of the beautifully designed restaurant on the boardwalk overlooking the water.

Wonderful food and wait staff. A must try! The polenta croutons,tuna tataki, and salmon were great.

It’s a great dinner and experience. The Caesar salad is a must. The polenta croutons were so good! after we told the hostess, the chef sent us back to the hotel with a box of fresh, warm croutons to go. Grilled seafood was good, too.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. However one person ordered medium rare tenterloin steak but he got a medium well. That was a bit disappointing. Cosmos were amazing

Ocean Lounge @ Holland House gave us a glimpse into Philipsburg which was nice and you could see the beach while eating dinner but I wouldn’t go back. The food wasn’t good at all. I got tuna tartare as an appetizer and for dinner the seafood cipollini. The chips that came with the tuna tartare were stale and the salmon in the seafood cipollini was extremely fishy tasting. When we got the bill there was a service charge which I asked if that was the included tip and the waitress told us no so we left a 20% tip only to find out the service charge was the tip so she essentially got a 30% tip out of us. While vacationing in St. Maarten I would not recommend.

Great atmosphere and view. Food was fantastic. We had the crab cocktail, grilled lobster and grilled tuna steak. Would recommend any of them. Solid bourbon / wine selection. Would go back.
