During the low season (from July 23rd to October 13th), we operate with 2 service times: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and we close at 4:00 PM.

High season hours (starting October 15th) will be 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, with closing time at 5:00 PM.

To make a reservation, the system requires a non-refundable prepayment of $120 pesos per person for round-trip boat transportation. This amount is not refundable in case of cancellations or no-shows. If you hike in or arrive by your own boat, this payment will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the day of your visit.

By making a reservation, you acknowledge and accept our reservation policies. Please visit our website for more information.

Please note; our weather and waves can change on a moment's notice. We may have to cancel the water taxi and close the restaurant if the waves are too high. This only happens occasionally but if we do you will receive a text on the phone number you leave with open table.

You can access Boca de Tomatlan by bus, Uber, or Taxi. We are 30 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta. Please go to the cement dock and our water taxi will pick you up 20 minutes before your reservation. Look for the boat with our shirts that say Ocean Grill.
Public transit
Take a bus in Basilio Badillo street in Zona Romántica. It will drop you in the highway and need to walk down to the pier. Cabs or Uber will drop you off at the dock directly
Animation
Live band Saturday and a live DJ on Thursdays.

We were excited to return here, having first visited years before. The food, drinks and service were good. For an outstanding location like this, it’s too bad that there’s not a greater sense of hospitality to truly make this unique experience unforgettable.

I had such an incredible experience. Stunning ocean views. Beautiful open space dining. Friendly staff. Most importantly, the food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend.

It's our 5th visit at Ocean Grill and we'll be back next year. Excellent professional service from Alejandro, the food is excellent, ambiance is cozy and the view is spectacular. We were 8 and all gave it 5 stars. 5/5 stars all the way.

Was there last year and food much better. The shrimp was covered in sweet sauces as well as the fish. The fresh veggies were also prepared differently and not what we remembered.

A beautiful place to eat. The food was good and the service was good but the orders were quite slow coming. Overall, a very nice experience.

This is our third year in a row and we sure look forward to the Ocean Grill. We love the octopus, the catch of the day the ribs and the giant prawns. We particularly enjoy the cocktails they whip up there. After our lunch, we always make the hour or so walk to Animas Beach and then take a water taxi either back to Boca or to PV

Always a fun excursion to the restaurant! Our cocktails were superb. Started with the Grilled Veggies. My husband has the octopus; I had the pescado. Both were delicious and large portions. Half the fun is getting there via the boat that picks you up at Boca de Tomatlan.
