Ocean Grill & Bar is in many ways a testimony to the bounty of the sea, the adaptability of creating wonderous dishes from the vast variety of life beneath the waves and the endless multitude of flavors created by cultures all across the world using all manner of natures riches to bring out the natural beauty of seafood. Chef Lea has lived and breathed Key West's very own bounty of delicious seafood for over 20 years. Winning many awards along the way for items like 'Butter Poached Florida lobster' and our signature dish 'Shrimp & Grits', he decided to give back much of what he has learned and create a largely seafood menu with flavors ranging from Cajun/Creole to the far East of Asia. An eclectic gathering of the finest ways to enjoy what we are blessed to have on our very own doorstep. You can find on our menu or Special's board local items like Florida Lobster, many varieties of local Seafood. Join us for a feast of seafood paired with a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere.

Shrimp and grits…grits were very overcooked. Specialty cocktail tasted like melted candy cane.

Place and atmosphere were nice but unfortunately we had to wait 1 hour to get the food we ordered. For me was too much, also considering that at least 2-3 tables with guests coming later were served before us. Not fair for my pov. Food was quite good but not worth the expense. We ordered 2 desserts, we were told there was only one left, but 5 minutes later same dessert was served on another table. Found it unprofessional.

We we’re told that the kitchen was running behind. That was OK. However, our appetizers came out at the same time as a table next to us which was sat 45 minutes after us. I think that’s terrible service. Additionally, my server, while I was conversing with my family, came in and took my plate which I was not finished with. He did not even ask me if I was done he just took the plate. $45 on a lobster pasta and there was easily a quarter of my meal left. Made me feel like he just wanted to get us out of there and turn the table didn’t care if we had to enjoyable dinner or not.

Their food was terrible and not fresh and not cooking through Spaghetti tasted like peanut sauce inside, so weird ! I spent $180 with terrible experience Definitely not recommended

Understaffed….. probably because of the holiday….. made a reservation, but they told us we had to wait. We ended up sitting at the bar and if we hadn’t had open space at the bar, we probably would’ve left. The bartender was only capable of making and serving one drink at a time.

Terrible service. -Seated 20 mins after our reservation time in an indoor back corner of the restaurant right next to the bathrooms (booked this in Oct, requested outdoor seating) -The bartender made a Shirley Temple with club soda and was rude when we asked for a new one -Party of 3, yet waiter included 18% gratuity without saying a word (bottom of bill stated 18% gratuity included for parties of 6 or more) -Ambience was chaos. Staff was clearly overwhelmed. The host made a comment to my teen daughter about one of the waiters not doing his f-ing job. Real classy Overpriced. -$21.95 lobster Mac ‘n Cheese had ONE piece of lobster (we laughed, but COME ON!) An unforgettable experience. We would not recommend and we will not be back.

We ate brunch here on Christmas day and the service was horrible. They seemed to have plenty of staff working, they just appeared to not have any sense of urgency or customer service. We were sat promptly but then waited for 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us and gave us water. All in all, my family of 3 were there a total of an hour and 45 minutes. After we finished we sat another 15-20 minutes before anyone brought us our check. Again, the place was not exceptionally busy and there didn’t seem to be any reason for the long wait. Also, the bathroom was in disarray and was out of toilet paper. I would not recommend this place.
