Enjoyed a wonderful experience at Ocean Basket. Beautiful freshly-cooked Hake and Chips. Absolutely delicious and great value.

The menu’s had oil on them. The rice was out of a packet and cold. The fish was clearly mass bought as each piece was exactly the same size and shape. The calamari was overcooked. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

It was our second time at Ocean Busket, and we had a lovely time with friends. Once we ordered the good came quite quickly and all ordered dishes were delicious.

Waiting staff were great,food wasn't great at all,prawns overcooked and rubbery and the fish had so many bones in it was impossible to eat ! Such a shame as we came a few months back and loved it

The food was reasonable it wasn't as good as I expected but not bad value. I've been used to eating seafood in the Mediterranean and it's very different. It's somewhere that's affordable as many fish restaurants are very expensive. Give it a try and decide for yourself. The service was very good

Nice food and very friendly helpful staff. We went at lunchtime but I imagine it would be good for a pre theatre / cinema meal in the evening.

Great service. Food is just as good as we experience on our holidays in South Africa- fresh, delicious and cooked perfectly. We will definitely return and it's so worth the 2 hour round trip!

As always was absolutely amazing food! Great service, great atmosphere and the perfect lever of ambient noise. We’ve been before many time for a taste of home and we’ll be back again many more times!

Amazing seafood, flavours were delicious and fish cooked to perfection and well presented. This was evident with two empty platters at the end of the meal. However, it was a busy Sunday, and staff seemed flustered even though we had a reservation for a birthday celebration. The table we were originally sat at was pretty small for 4, when asked, as the restaurant emptied, they were happy to move us to a larger one. A gentleman who seemed to be in charge was very accommodating in moving us and ensured we were happy with the new location. Even checking with us after our food had arrived. An area for improvement would be in how the waiting staff respond to a busy period. They were slow to take our order but on a positive note did advise us that the sea bream platter would take a little longer to prepare, so we were happy to wait the 20 minutes for it's preparation. It would have been nice to have been offered some additional bread rolls while we waited instead of the basket of 5 small rolls served after arrival between 4 people. We were not offered further drinks, neither were we offered the dessert menu. This was despite the restaurant being almost empty by the time we had finished our meal, and we sat with dirty plates in front of us for some considerable time while the waiting staff talked amongst themselves. Despite the areas for improvement, we would definitely make a return visit.
