Oak is a contemporary steakhouse located in Alexandria, Virginia, from The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Oak Steakhouse creates a menu showcasing the finest cuts of Certified Angus Beef, along with locally-sourced produce from farms in Virginia and across the nation. Oak Steakhouse is proud to use Certified Angus Beef, renowned for its exceptional quality, with each cut meeting ten exacting standards delivering superior taste and tenderness. Guests can expect a bustling steakhouse experience, with farm-to-table sensibilities, classic cocktails, and a global wine list in a convivial atmosphere. Oak Alexandria features an intimate and inviting dining room, with an open kitchen lined with sleek pewter tile, allowing guests a glimpse of the chefs in action. Rustic reclaimed wood and crimson leather banquettes adorn the space, which seats up to 110 guests in the dining room. A custom-built wine wall displays a selection of Oak's robust wine list which features over 200 bottles. Oak Alexandria also offers an outdoor patio that seats 36, as well as a sophisticated private dining room which is available for up to 30 guests.

Made reservations for Valentine’s Day. Couldn’t be happier with the experience from the moment we walked in. The service was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing. The drinks were mixed perfectly. I wish I had actually gotten pictures of the food but I was too busy enjoying it all. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an upscale experience.

We arrived at 7:28 for 7:30 reservations. Although we had to wait for our table the service impeccable. Our server was amazing. I had the wagyu burger (melts in your mouth) and my husband had the 6oz filet mignon the Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The manager came over and checked in on us which was very nice. The atmosphere was very clean, lights were dim, the bar area was very nice top shelf everything. The entire place was made out of oak wood which I thought was very cool and fitting (hence the name). Overall 10/10 and we will return. Perfect for date night and dinner parties.

It was the first time for me. I went with a friend to celebrate our birthdays. Established steakhouses have nothing to fear from Oak. The food and service was just ok. Paying for bread was a new experience and might have been ok if the staff had not removed the bread before we were finished with it. My steak was prepared as I asked, but the quality the meat was not what you'd expect from a top-flight steakhouse. There are better options.

In my opinion this is the best steakhouse in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The food is great, the mixologists sublime and the servers are tremendous.

Best place to have a birthday. That staff was so fun and accommodating especially with allergies and restrictions. Can’t wait to go back! Food was 10/10
