OUR PHILOSOPHY

‘O ver comes from the Neapolitan dialect to mean: “Truth”

We do our best to reflect this with the authentic, delicious and healthy food we freshly prepare every day.

‘O ver uses the unique ingredient of Pure Sea Water, which is extracted from the purest areas of the Mediterranean.

Less sodium and more minerals makes the food lighter and easy to digest.

Pizzas, breads and all the seafood dishes are made with Pure Sea Water.

We directly buy our ingredients from small independent Italian producers and we only use the best local suppliers.

We only serve Authentic Neapolitan Wood fired pizza, pasta from Gragnano, fresh fish & British meats.

Every single dish is handmade with love and patience by our chefs, in full respect of the tradition.

Simple recipes, only the best ingredients and a lot of Passion.

Please note we are serving a simple and delicious Sunday Lunch Menu for £55 per person with 11 courses including dessert. We do not serve Pizzas on Sunday.

Thanks for a spectacular and delicious Christmas lunch with a dear friend. We started with rich, earthy arancini and bruschetta with a tangy and delicate mixed green salad. Then we shared a 3-cheese pizza ‘di giorno’ with beautifully roasted vegetables and tiny, juicy black olives. Our final dish was a creamy, perfectly al dente wild mushroom risotto with dollops of aged tallegio melting into it. Everything was beautifully presented, extremely flavorful and subtle, and a really delightful experience. Keep offering this quality and O Ver will be my favourite Italian restaurant in London. I’ll be back.

Justifiably proud of their seawater based pizzas and certainly the middle was great but too doughy around the edges for me. Extremely friendly service at first and at the end but no ‘is there anything else you need?’ Or how is your food?’ Small gripe explains the 4 not 5 stars. Worth a visit

Very nice restaurant, the food was great as was the service. The only reason it’s not a 5 star rating is that we had to ask for salt & pepper (twice) and the hefty service charge that was added to our bill.

The service was very disappointing. The manager seemed to have a heavy party the night before. I was there a few times before and it used to be way better. Unlikely I would come back.

Looks nice and in a decent location but the food is bland. Well presented and looks the part but the ingredients just leave no impression at all. Perfect for a quick meal pre-theatre if you don't mind over paying for the privilege of being in the area.

Pizza was nice, staff welcoming until it was time to replace us. Looking at my confirmation email we should have had comfortable 2 hrs, but what was mostly annoying is that they showed us the bill without asking after 1hr and half, just saying that the table was needed. We asked twice what made their tiramisu so special that the menu stated ‘made our own way’: the first one was confused as mentioned ingredients like bread and wine, the second one didn’t like coffe so he has never tried it. Do better.

This is my second visit to O Ver St. James. Both times, the food was very delicious and served promptly. The service is second to none - genuinely friendly staff who quick but never made us feel like we had to hurry. This is now one of my favourite places to eat.
