   We had an amazing dinner. Our server Emily was excellent! She explained every item on the menu and made great recommendations. The food was delicious! Looking forward to returning.

   For the price we paid for the food, the service did not make up for it. Server forgot to ring in part of meal, and subsequently never came back and apologized for it and it. As a server myself, I get it, it happens, but at least let the table know that it wasn’t rung in verses letting us wait an extra 30 minutes for a single roll of sushi. Took over 2 hours to get in total 3 rolls of sushi and 3 sashimi. I’ve been here three times now and every time I’ve tried my best to not find a flaw or error from my experience but so far I’m 3 for 3 in negative experiences.

   Honestly one of our greatest experiences with sushi! The ambience and service are excellent but the food is unbelievable. So fresh, well prepared and delicious. If you get a chance you must go…definitely worth it. Make sure you order the sticky rice and the rock shrimp for starters.

   Made reservations on a Saturday night for our Anniversary. We walked in and saw a person who was holding the door for specific people while playing on his phone. We can open doors for ourselves by all means but if that’s your job it would’ve been cool to have the door held open for us as it adds to the experience. We arrived a few minutes early and a table wasn’t open for us which i thought was interesting as we had “reserved” through this app. Once we sat, drinks came within a reasonable time. But the small platters we were told would be “quick” arrived an hour after we were seated. After seeing how pricy and small the dishes were while having to wait an hour for the food we decided to call it a night. One alcoholic beverage, and four SMALL platters were over $100. Which normally we wouldn’t complain about the price. But it’s a small restaurant and was super busy and loud so we didn’t bother ordering anything else. On top of all of this, our table wasn’t open super small as well. Had to set our menus off to the side on a restaurant divider because there wasn’t any room on the tables to rest them. All together it was a neat and new experience. But you can get a lot more bang for your buck elsewhere.

    We are regulars to O-Ku. It’s our favorite spot. Still working our way around the menu. Everything we try is incredible. Amazing service and food every visit!
