The food was fantastic. From the perfectly crunchy-yet-soft falafel to the incredible jerk chicken, all amazing and memorable. But the place was empty. It's small, but there were only 2 other tables occupied. With food this good, it should be packed! Even the waitress was uncomfortable with the emptiness. The food is too good. Service was totally acceptable. Hidden gem.

The fam and I were eager to try it. The place was empty but I would said it was a long weekend. The drinks were on pint. Service: mediocre at best. Food was ok. Ambience: I was told there is no music because the owner wasn’t there. Overall value did not match expectations. I would probably not come back soon.

This is the second time we went there, as the first time we enjoyed it tremendously. The experience was not the same sadly. I thought we had found a good "neighborhood" restaurant, but alas, the service had degraded dramatically - we had to wait for service extremely long, and on multiple occasion we had to try to get attention of the staff to get service. The food continues to be good, but alas the prices have gone up dramatically also. One dish that was priced on the menu was $40, but when I tried to order it, I was told the price had gone up to $65, which was crazy for this restaurant. I hope the team can figure out the service issue, and adjust their prices to accommodate for the clientele in the neighborhood.

Everything about the experience was wonderful. They accommodated our group which included four children and three vegans. They were able to make substitutions on the menu with no difficulty. The food was stellar and we really enjoyed the overall experience.

We ordered the Caribbean Meze board and enjoyed the Griot (fried pork), and the plantain with pikliz (pickled slaw) the most. (Curious why Griot is not offered on its own but under Plantain on the menu). French fries on the meze board seemed out of place. The jerk chicken was good but not the best compared to other Jamaican restaurants. The lamb shank could have used another hour and stronger spices as well; and we have found better in another Greek restaurant nearby. Cocktails at $14 in a neighborhood restaurant is a bit on the high side. Service was efficient and competent, and the interior was nice. Given that the Haitian dishes were more successful than the Mediterranean ones, perhaps refocusing on the former would make the restaurant shine.

Food and drinks were delicious, and portions were generous. This place is a hidden gem on a quiet side street. We’re definitely looking forward to a return visit.
