To start, the website was totally misleading. Showed a picture of table overlooking a gorgeous view. Totally enclosed in reality. The bread offering was a few slices of a small baguette that tasted stale. The calamari grotto, we were told, would be more than enough for 2. What showed up for a meager plateful of fried calamari. My spaghetti alla panna was a plateful of brown sauce (not sure where the fresh marinara sauce was), limp, soft and mushy pasta and way over cooked shrimp. The spaghetti all’ amatriciana con polpette was meh. Better to stay home to cook your own. Overall- very disappointing!

I am a frequent diner & fan of this restaurant. Unfortunately this experience was sub par. Had 7pm reservation, waited 25 minutes to be seated. Appetisers not all served together. Entrees bland especially lasagna. Diner having salad with shrimp served without the shrimp until meal was almost finished. Not sure if chef and/or ownership has changed but won’t be returning. Sad as we have always enjoyed it.

Stacy - We appreciate your visits and apologize that you had a bad night. We're human and we do mess up. As for your public feedback on the food, to say 'entrees bland' is generic. Are you the orator for other diners? I personally was at fault for the shrimp being left off your salad, but it took five minutes to recover. We prepare our food fresh and to-order, so leaving the appetizers sitting around in wait for others for uniform service doesn't fit our service model. Again my apologies up to this point. Where your commentary falls apart, however, is saying our lasagna is bland. It's impossible with our recipe. These kinds of 'digs' are unnecessary. You had one bad night out of many good nights. By the way, Mr. Nundini passed away recently and we're doing our best to carry on without him.

We went during restaurant weeks and enjoyed the fixed price menu. The food was excellent, but it felt like they were understaffed. We would go back but with the expectation of a very leisurely dinner.

Steve - Thank you so much for the feedback. From time-to-time, we do find ourselves in situations where we are understaffed. This has been the case this summer. We do get a number of applicants and we have the budget for staff, but have had challenges finding suitable candidates to hire. We really appreciate your patience and overall positive impression of us. Please find your way back soon and ask to speak directly with the chef.

So very disappointed! Went to Nundini’s Chefs Table this evening and ordered from their Restaurant Week menu - no fault of the server, totally fell on the chef - over cooked chicken and cold risotto on one plate and overcooked bland salmon with tasteless pasta on the side in the other - just sad! We watched the Chef visiting tables, drinking wine and goofing off while staff waited for their orders. Sadly we won’t be going back ☹️

Susan-thank you for solving a mystery that came up after a recent dinner shift. My server, as they normally would, had asked one of their tables about their experience / food / etcetera. They received odd feedback - the table was happy with the food, but displeased that the chef had not visited them personally. Let me explain something to you. I am the chef. I do not work for you. This is my kitchen, hot as it is, and I'll step in and out as I please. It is no place of yours to assess whether or not I'm 'goofing off'. If you had an issue with the food quality, you had the opportunity to voice it. But it seems that was not the case. You simply were upset with me for not stopping by. That's no reason for you to take to being a keyboard bandit and childishly disparaging someone's livelihood.

A regrettable experience nearly from start to finish. It was much too warm inside, to the point that my friend and I were dressed for summer and were actively perspiring. Then poor service, and I’m happy with European style. Finally, the food was over cooked. I ordered rare salmon and was upfront that it was no problem if they couldn’t prepare it rare, I’d be happy with the lamb. I was assured it was no problem. Got it overcooked, told the waiter and got -0- response. No offer to take it back, to bring the lamb or any other option. Just left and largely ignored the table after. They comp’d $20, I’d rather have had dinner.

We were seated and waited over 15 minutes before a waiter approached our table. At that point, the waiter brought two glasses of water, both had lipstick smudges on them. After 40 minutes, we still had not received menus or been asked for a drinks order. At that point, we left the restaurant. No one even asked us why we were leaving. We will not return. Very disappointing as the service and food in the past was very good.
