Great, glamorous bar. Sad the dress code is no longer enforced, as a lot of patrons were in t shirts, cut off or ripped jeans etc. Really brings the atmosphere down to any dive bar

TL/DR: Don't book the high tea, just snag a cocktail and enjoy the views without the outrageous price tag. I had a really disappointing experience at Nubelez this past Sunday. Went with my two sisters for my birthday. Even though the venue with fairly empty, we were seated in a booth with less than ideal views. While the decor was fabulous, the music was incredibly unintentional; 70's rock in a place clearly designed for folks in thier 20's and 30's. Our table was never set, so we had not cutlery or napkins throughout the experience (even though we asked for them multiple times and saw them on other tables). We did not receive the teas we ordered; not sure if they gave the wrong pots to the wrong individuals, or the wrong pots to the wrong tables. Finally, it took more than 40 minutes from ordering for our tea set to arrive. Tables that arrived later were served before us. I felt bad for the server; it appeared there was only one for the whole venue. So it was understandable why she couldn't remember to give us any of the things we needed.

We booked the high tea experience. While the view is amazing, I can’t say the same for the food and service. We were seated at one of the bistro tables by the window, again great view. Placed our tea order and proceeded to wait over 40 mins for tea - that never came. The server finally noticed no tea had arrived and offered a bump of caviar for the wait. Tea takes 3 mins to brew. A bump of caviar is insulting of our patience. No tea, no food. We left. This experience was on the tails of our train wreck experience on July 4th at the same restaurant, no food and were visibly passed over the entire night.

This was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. We had recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Singapore and had a phenomenal time, one of the best parts being the in-house bar. We were so excited to go to Nubeluz, as not only was it July 4, but it was our 10 year anniversary. Needless to say this fell incredibly short of a Ritz Carlton experience or that of Jose Andres. The service was lacking from the second we stepped in, the bar seemed incredibly overwhelmed. The drinks were nothing special and it just seemed like your typical bar in New York City. The two “special” cocktails for the evening appeared premade, and there was nothing that distinguished them to be from one of New York City is most popular and well-known bars. The most bothersome part is that at $200 a person not only were the drinks lacking there was absolutely no food. We were so excited to try the menu of hors d’oeuvres, however we literally did not get to try anything except for watermelon on a stick probably the least exciting. We did not get the lobster roll. We did not get the grilled cheese. We did not get the oysters. There were a few desserts that were around that picked over and beaten up. This is what I expect at a sweet 16 in Long Island, not at the Ritz Carlton or at a well-known bar from a world renowned restauranteur.We knew that we weren’t there to have a meal, but we did expect to snack and there was none of that. This later led to us having to go find somewhere to eat not exactly how I want to spend my July 4. We asked the bartender countless servers and even the security guard at one point as to how we can get some food all the servers in sparkling dresses simply said “oh this is for someone else, Oh this is going somewhere else”. we asked one server who finally asked us what we would like and when I told him we wanted to try a little bit of everything, he said sure, but never returned. So disappointing, we left feeling taken advantage of for $200 a person.

For a regular reservation, Nubeluz is the definition of "just okay" -- the food isn't particularly interesting, the service is hostile, but the view is great. Just know there are other places in the city that manage to have an amazing view AND good food & hospitality. For an event, though, WOOF. We paid to attend their 4th of July event and it was an absolute incompetent mess. I could go on at length but to offer one of many dismal details: They advertised a tasty looking menu of ten passed appetizers for the evening. We assumed that meant the general party vibe would be kind of standing/wandering/mingling in the space as servers moved through with trays, but upon arrival were told by a server we needed to SIT to order drinks rather than stand in line at the bar, and that servers would bring by the food to the tables. Since the tables were all already filled within 5 minutes of the advertised start time of the party, the server shooed us over to a couple in a booth, having them scoot over and let us squeeze in. After an hour of watching servers zoom by with empty trays, the four of us managed to almost comically flag one of them down who still had a few oysters on hers. We mentioned this was the first actual food we'd seen in an hour, and asked if more would be coming at some point. She told us we were unfortunately seated "too far away from the kitchen" as the apps were being taken by tables on the other side of the restaurant. She was apologetic but... what? So... this major restaurant group at a major hotel is selling tickets to an event, filling every table in the house... and then telling us that they've only figured out how to get the advertised food to one half of the restaurant? We were seated steps away from the host stand. That level of disorganization applied across every detail of the event.
