En 1977, John Gianaras a acheté le L&F Corner Market et l'a transformé en un restaurant décontracté nommé Panos (en hommage à son père.) En 1988, les jeunes mariés John et Vi l'ont agrandi et réaménagé pour en faire un restaurant gréco-californien gastronomique. Ils ont géré le Panos avec un grand succès pendant 20 ans. Bond de 17 ans en avant... leurs filles Kristen et Kathryn ont repris les commandes. Désormais, le NOVY propose un menu simple et abordable et sert une cuisine californienne élaborée autant que possible avec des ingrédients frais, locaux et biologiques. Dans le but d'éviter tout déchet, il ne sert que des bières pression et du vin à la tireuse. Le NOVY (pour Noe Valley) est redevenu un restaurant de quartier à la gestion familiale, qui vise à offrir une expérience culinaire, ludique, agréable et raffinée. Bon appétit !

This is our every Friday night restaurant. We love everything from the food ambience service. They are just the best! We had our favorite fried calamari and we both had cioppino. Both were outstanding! There are so many great entrées on this menu. I love the moussaka, Brussel sprouts shrimp and salmon pasta, both burgers are excellent.

My friends only eat outdoors and the parklet and heaters were very comfortable and warm.

We started with Septem beers and moved on to a wonderful dinner of shrimp pasta and lamb bolognese. One of our favorite places. We'll be back soon!

So glad we decided to try Novy! They had a special of cioppino, which was excellent. The avgolomeno soup & dolmas were some of the best ever. But the dessert -Galaktoboureko- was fantastic! Nice ambience, great service. We will be going again soon!

Novy had a special 3 course menu for $45 for New Year’s Eve. Food was excellent and portions were generous. The salmon pasta was creamy, flavorful and delicious.They were very busy but staff hustled to get the job done. It was an enjoyable meal and a great value.

Always have a great time at Novy Spanakopita- Yes I always go for kale salad with the beef patty or meat balls I like the flexibility with mix and match menu- they make it easy for me
