We had a really enjoyable meal to celebrate my mum’s birthday. Our only issue was that the side dish that came with the chicken main was meant to be Hassleback potatoes as per the menu, but they were not. Instead they were plain baby potatoes with mayo. They were still nice and were eaten, but my mum was looking forward to the Hassleback as she does not make these herself. Nothing was mentioned when the meal was served, even though another change to the side on one of the other mains (garden peas for mushy peas) was specifically mentioned to my sister as it was served to her. My mum did mention to the waitress when she was asked if all was ok, and the waitress was going to mention it to the chef, but we the didn’t hear any further. Just would have expected an acknowledgment that apologies, there was a difference between the order and what was served, especially as this was done for one of the other meals. All in all though a lovely experience, this was just a little disappointing from a restaurant of this quality, especially for the birthday girl.

Lovely dining room with great views! The starter of Chorizo, which we shared, was way too much for 2 people never mind 1 person. Mains okay but the kitchen was out of burgers and fish and chips. A little disappointing over all.

The food is fine, though would be good if they could put more brunch- like dishes on the daytime menu, such as avocado & poached eggs, Spanish omelette, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, eggs Florentine etc. Outdoor terrace is beautiful & relaxing.

Good restaurant a little out of the town centre with nice views over the river and towards the Titanic museum. The set menu is good value for money and the wine list is decent. Our waiter Edgar was excellent and really raised the standard of the experience.

the food was absolutely wonderful and an amazing value for money! We had two appetizers, two entrees, plus a side, and desert for less than 70 pounds. Truly delightful dog- friendly restaurant and hotel!!!

Booked Sunday lunch, early (12pm) as we needed to leave at 2.15pm for an event. Overall it was a disappointing experience for what was a birthday celebration for our daughter. The food had nothing exceptional, steak was not rare as requested (but medium), and the ‘galette’ had nothing from a galette (soggy puff pastry slice with nothing like white chocolate filling). Service could be improved. Although the 2 waitresses were lovely, the service was extremely slow betwen dishes (worst was after they cleared our plates, waiting 35 min for someone to offer the dessert menu, then another 20 min for the desserts to be served). We attempted several time to get the waiters attention with no success - the room was 80% empty so can’t put that on high workload.

Lovely meal, service could be a little bit better. The rump steak was delicious and the focacia was also fab. We found desert a little lacking, for example, the brownie was a little bit stodgy and i have had much nicer. Pom pom red wine was very nice. Overall very nice meal and good value 2 course deal.

On arriving at the AC for 3.30pm Sunday lunch, The waiter looked around an empty dining room and sat us at a basic oblong table , the seating was badly marked the table was sad looking , water was provided in a basic glass A bit of a wait for the main meal as we finished off 6 bread sticks possibly Tesco brand and Tapenade (over salted) The Mains arrived the Fish meal basic but small , 2 Half Chicken meals with a bunch of half cooked Kale and a small slice of potato no other veg accompanied the dish the Chicken was pale and was not cooked properly, it was brought home for the dog, a 20 minute wait for Deserts, the Apples in the Tart it an were hard and pastry soggy. A poor Children’s menu:: overall experience very poor ::
