North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets on our outdoor patio overlooking Forest Lake, or enjoy a table in our panoramic indoor patio, year round.

We enjoyed our visit. Ambiance is very good. Sorry we didn't choose to take advantage of the outside patio, being that we had a excellent day weatherwise. Definitely will be going back.

Very loud, hard to have a conversation without shouting. Food was good, rather small menu, everything was either spicy or had lots of garlic. I see this place becoming more of a casual bar restaurant rather than what it is now. Cute place, if not so humid we would have enjoyed eating outside by the water. Wish them luck!

Ŵhat a gem of a place! We sat on the patio overlooking the beautiful lake. We watched some boats quickly float from the dock into the distance. We saw a beautiful sunset and took some great pictures. The whole experience was calming. Next we got to the food. The meatball appetizer was delicious and our entrees were delirious. The service throughout the evening was fantastic. We had a great time and will visit again. We highly recommend this wonderful spot!

This restaurant has a great lake view, an attentive young staff as well as enterprenurial young owners that have made this a fun, successful restaurant. We bring friends who might not come by the restaurant on Old McHenry Road overlooking Forest Lake so they can see it, enjoy it and help us 'shop local'. Many reasons to enjoy North Point Kitchen food, staff, story, and view. Enjoy.

Food was delicious, wine was delicious. Our Server was very nice and attentive. Noise level was really high. We could hardly communicate with the other couple we were with. Our second time here and the noise level was so high, when we come back will definitely ask for outside. But love the ambiance and the food !!!
