Made reservations for 6 people, but was given a table for 5. The host and waiter did nothing to reconcile the situation other than to tell me that they were booked and had no other tables. The remediation was to squeeze in another seat around a table that barely comfortably fit 5. No apologies and no remorse for the oversight.

Three of us had a bit of a discomfort in our digestive tract so it appears that the cooks didn’t wash their hands very well. I didn’t see that Kale was in the salad so I picked it out because it was raw. And we waited for a long time to get a servers attention because my mom wanted a different salad dressing, neither our waitress or anybody else looked over in our direction very often.

Special date night - made a reservation because of a free concert. Put at a table outside which was wonderful. Server was the worst server I think I have ever had. Super slow and very non-responsive. I think he said about five words to us all night. Never refilled waters, had to be asked if we could get refills and reorder of drinks. Took forever to return. Ordered an app and never came back until our mains were delivered to the table. Food was very good, portions were small for price, especially for pasta dish. Wife had a chicken pasta dish and only had, maybe 4 small pieces of chicken and about 6 pine nuts. Totally bad service and made for a bad night. Manager was nice and comp'd our food. Hate to say it but poor Brady should be fired or at least retrained on how to talk and serve people.

I made the reservation a week in advance and indicated that it was my daughter’s 25th birthday. I requested a dessert with a candle. At the restaurant our server was very nice and attentive. We placed our dinner and drink orders. After dinner I was expecting they would bring a birthday dessert for my daughter. Instead the server asked if we wanted dessert. I indicated that we’re celebrating her birthday and he apologized and said he’d bring her complimentary dessert. A few minutes later, another server brought a dessert, but there was no candle. He took it back and brought it back with a lit candle. Our dinner was wonderful, but my only issue is the communication that got screwed up with bringing out a celebration dessert for my daughter.

A fun and relaxed place for dinner with friends or with family (including children- who are fascinated by the pizza making station) at one end of the kitchen. Had a birthday dinner with 4 adults and 2 children last night. Interesting to learn that one cannot have a table with more than 5 on the outside “patio” area with a view of the lovely Reston TC fountain. Our server Zach was very good: knew the menu and very personable. Good cocktails to start the meal - we tried 4 -all good. The calamari starter was unusual with an onion-ring like coat which made it more greasy. The Chef charcuterie board was good but the quantity may have diminished a bit over the last couple of years. We all tried the pasta offerings- 4 very different treatments. The best was the vodka sauce which had a little heat and was very flavorful. The crushed meatball marinara was a good comfort-food preparation. The pesto chicken was underflavored as was the squid ink tonnarelli which was disappointing. Recently traveled in northern Italy and we were hoping for a better showing at “North Italia”. The spicing and salting was too timid which made the 2 pastas mentioned less appetizing. Was happy to see a Chiaretto rose on the wine menu - of which we had a bottle. Nice dry rose. Was disappointed that North Italia did nothing to help us celebrate a birthday for one of the adults, despite the fact this was pointed out in the notes to the restaurant. We thought the 2 little girls would have enjoyed witnessing a birthday “celebration” for their Mom at the dinner.

Good, but not great. We enjoyed the evening and the service, but felt there was room for improvement in the areas of presentation and meal quality.
