Restaurateur & Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser and his team have revitalized the historic property and reimagined the dining experience, while staying true to the ethos he shares with founding owners. Birthday I told the hostess someone in our party of four and even gave his name and it was completely forgotten! Also, too many instructions when ordering from the menu. Everyone had to order 1,2 and 3, but if you wanted to order the snack first, it was a $5.00 up charge for dessert. But, if you did that, everyone had to order the snack too! Not my cup of tea and I don’t think I’ll go back again. The place is beautiful, though.

Unfortunately underwhelming. This is our third visit under the new management and first time (Nov 2020 ) even with all the challenges was exceptional. Unfortunately the next two visit have been increasingly disappointing. I so want this to be my go to special occasion restaurant but our experience last night was meh. Something was very off. Everything was slow and stilted including many apologies from our waiter but then little follow through. The ambiance and decor is really lovely & cocktail outstanding. But getting food and drinks on our table felt anything but effortless. so when each course finally arrived I was barely tasting my meal anymore. The price is fair for the quality but as neither my husband care for dessert i would much prefer an ala carte option to a fixed 3 course. Cost would have been then same but I would have more flexibility in ordering

Food was unique, ambiance was amazing, but we were one of 5 tables and overlooked quite often for waters and such. The food was not paced well and plates were not cleared in a timely manner. Everyone was very nice but the service felt disjointed, especially for the pricepoint.

Some dishes excellent, some missed. For the price I expect all to be seamless. Service was good but Staff lacked finesse. Dining room elegant and comfortable .

My wife and I were here for a wine-pairing. The dishes and the preparation were exquisite and the service was first-rate. The restaurant is a bit on the dark side and the Muzak was inappropriate for the occasion. These were small points, however: my wife and I will be raving about this dinner for a long time to come.

This time, the food was not quite at the level we expect at the North Fork Table. First, the good news: The Southold Grill, the somewhat misleadingly named plate of varied seafood (depending I suppose on what happens to be available, was as usual amazingly delicious. On the other hand, the filet was, surprisingly, a bit overcooked. The bacon carpaccio appetizer, was unusual and interesting, but eventually tiring (and not very healthy!), and neither of us would order it again. The cake in the "broken chocolate cake" dessert was itself a bit too dry, but the accompanying ice cream was delicious and the combination of cake and ice cream was outstanding. The pear crostada was a bit on the ordinary side. As I said, overall, a bit disappointing, but we will certainly be back.
