Norma is a contemporary and vibrant restaurant, inspired by the food and culture of Sicily with particular emphasis on the Moorish influences of the island’s cuisine.

Norma embodies the celebrated old-school Italian hospitality and charm, taking inspiration from the grand café culture found in Sicily. Set across three floors of a characterful townhouse on Charlotte Street in London’s Fitzrovia, the first two floors are dedicated to the restaurant, with the top floor a private dining space.

Sadly not as good as previous experiences. Service ok but to be told we only serve wine after food was a little odd after saying in response to would you like drinks. The main course was too salty. The glass of wine had obviously been around a while.Where we were sitting it was very noisy mainly because there was a very boisterous group behind us.

Had very high expectations, all of which were sorely disappointed. We were sat upstairs in what is possibly the most soulless room on Charlotte St. Staff had not been trained on the menu (clearly neither waitress had tasted anything) or wine list and while sweet, clearly had little idea. Food was average at best and shocking at worst - my wife’s pasta dish (a la Norma) was so over-salted we had to return it. To give the team credit, they did not charge for that dish and also comped us dessert. Overall however not a great experience.
