Nobu Downtown is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District designed by NYC’s celebrated architect, David Rockwell. On the ground level, guests can enjoy open air-like experience in our Broadway dining room or Bar & Lounge dining framed by 30 foot heroic limestone columns. Our sub terrain dining room provides intimate ambience with sushi bar and private dining options. Indulge in Chef Nobu’s famous signature dishes including Rock Shrimp Tempura and Black Cod Miso as well as traditional Japanese favorites and sushi.

    The maki rolls were very good and the black cod with miso was outstanding (melted in your mouth). Our waiter was very good and attentive. At no time did we ever feel rushed (this was on a Friday night). Is restaurant overpriced? Yes, but this is NYC and you’re paying for the name and their overhead is probably insane.

    Relatively good food. I was expecting a kind of a smaller place but it happened that it was not. Anyway I was expecting a kind of more.

    The overall restaurant is ok, not wow, comparing to the Dubai Nobu. Too loud, late service, got the bill before last item, too expensive, etc. Not going back!

    Expected a lot more. Some of the food was amazing like the Miso Cod and Wagu tacos. Sushi was okay and weirdly very salty, and not factoring soy sauce. The service was sub par, ordered a second drink of Sake and they totally forgot about it. Never once came by to see how things are. Now we have the impression it’s just a hyped chain. Surprisingly expected the check for 4 to be a lot higher. Had way better creative Sushi in Toronto at AP, Akira Back and Munirobato.

    I have to confess we were disappointed. We had great expectations but found the food very good but not remarkable. Also service was lacking from what one expected an experience at Nobu would be. For example, we ordered the bento box for lunch and never got our miso soup.

    Everything you want a restaurant (that has become some what of a chain) to be as far as atmosphere, chicness, luxury and food. We were greeted politely and with smiles and escorted to our beautiful booth in a great part of the restaurant. We aren’t regularly guests at the Downtown Nobu but have been to Malibu and the other NY location in the past. Our server was kind and fun and friendly and made us feel so comfortable. His suggestions to make the food experience enjoyable were excellent. We were tended to and felt special. Nobu is a great food journey and we will definitely be back

    It was my wife’s birthday I informed the restaurant but when the desert came out it didn’t say anything and no candles so disappointing
