Nobu Downtown is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District designed by NYC’s celebrated architect, David Rockwell. On the ground level, guests can enjoy open air-like experience in our Broadway dining room or Bar & Lounge dining framed by 30 foot heroic limestone columns. Our sub terrain dining room provides intimate ambience with sushi bar and private dining options. Indulge in Chef Nobu’s famous signature dishes including Rock Shrimp Tempura and Black Cod Miso as well as traditional Japanese favorites and sushi.

The music wasn’t what we expected for a nice restaurant like this. It was quite loud. More for dancing than for a dinner ambiance! The staff was very nice and provided excellent service

Our waiter was super attentive and helpful with everything from wine selection to being mindful of a gluten allergy. The service and food was excellent, 10/10!

I made reservations to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Reception from Nobu called so I can confirm the reservation and they asked me about the birthday I put down on the reservation, I told them it was my girlfriends birthday, they asked for her name and told me that all I have to do is order a dessert and they’ll come out with candles. I asked again do I need to let them know in person about the birthday, they said no they’ll have a note for the waiter. I trusted what the reception told me so at the restaurant I didn’t say anything about the birthday, I assumed they have something written down. We ordered dessert and guess what, no candles no happy birthday no nothing. I was furious. I should have said something at the restaurant coming in. Don’t call and assure me something and not do it Nobu. This had nothing to do with our waitress she was wonderful. The blame was the person calling and confirming my reservation and asking about my girlfriends birthday.

My server Lauren was amazing. Had an amazing dinner celebrating my daughters birthday with friend and family! Nobu food and service never fails! Will be back soon !

our waiter, Suhendri, was wonderful and personable and made my girlfriend’s birthday as lovely as i hoped. as per our reservation, not sure if a coincidence, but we were sat in a corner booth seat. very much appreciated. it’s our second time coming to Nobu for her birthday.

Was really excited to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday here as our experience in Chicago Nobu was absolutely incredible. I have been to so many restaurants where I’ve put that it’s someone’s birthday or anniversary and the restaurant has done something so kind to help celebrate and acknowledge I put the effort in to notify it was her birthday! I think the most disappointing part was I got a reminder text yesterday and a message asking what her name was as if you were going to do something to help celebrate. I 100% went in with the expectation that they’d at least wish her a Happy Birthday at the very least!! Overall the food was fine, ambience was ok but had I known this was the experience we would have I probably would choose from the 100 other restaurants in NYC. Call me a Karen, but overly disappointed.

The place to see and be seen— even if you’re just a regular couple like us. Fantastic food and service. We sat in the bar area, which was spectacular.

Great restaurant and service. A bit pricey but food was fabulous and service is top notch. Definitely worth the visit.
