    The food is good but not great. Ditto for the service. It was professional and friendly but not attentive. It was an ok experience. If you are a Nobu lover, you’ll be fine but other restaurants prepare same/similar dishes better and have more generous portions. At the end of the day Nobu is more about hype than great food.

    We went in not knowing much and everything we tried was amazing!! Our waiter was very knowable and helped guide us on what to order. It was a fun experience!

    The sushi portion of the omakase was one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve ever had. The fish flavor combinations were not very good and during the 3rd portion it was just coated in mayo. Stick to the menu and don’t venture out too far beyond that

    This was by far the WORST Nobu ever! Please do not waste your time, money, or special occasion at this place. The service was horrendous and the food was not good at all. Biggest disappointment ever. We did Omakase for our special occasion and it was subpar at best. The nigiri was okay and the dessert wasn’t bad, but everything else either wasn’t thought out well or was flat out not good. One course was pork belly which when rendered properly can taste great if done correctly. I literally received a slab of unrendered fat. I couldn’t consume it. The sauces were poorly balanced- the lemon on one of the fish dishes was so strong nothing else could be tasted. The duck was the most mediocre duck we’ve ever had. My husband and I travel all over and have been to countless Nobu restaurants. We always love Nobu which is why we chose it over all the Michelin star and other great restaurants in Chicago for our special night, but what a mistake! The service was terrible too. Our waitress never showed up, some of the waiters explaining our dishes said little to nothing and then would abruptly leave, and the place is clearly not ran well at all. Staff was standing around everywhere without a sense of urgency or attentiveness but plenty of people were sitting without food or drinks. I can’t express enough that you should by no means go here. We are happy to spend an unlimited amount on food when it’s worth it since that’s our splurge in life but this wasn’t worth anything, let alone the $500+ they charged us for two okakase and two drinks. Please, if you read one review, do not go here and waste your money when there are SO many great restaurants in this city. Just don’t let it spoil your view of Nobu because with as many as we have eaten at, some multiple times, they have all been spectacular, except this one.

    The food was absolutely delicious. The servers were extremely professional and cordial. We will definitely go back there again.

    We love Nobu but the service the last 2 times we went was awful. For the prices we should feel special instead of ignored. Need to improve that for us to go back again.
