I was so disappointed. I had so been looking forward to celebrating my birthday at The Noble Goat, but it really did not live up to expectations. The space is beautiful, tables nicely spaced and the ambience nice and comfortable. But the food just wasn't up to par. While nicely cooked, the octopus appetizer bore no resemblance to the image featured on the restaurant's website. The presentation was sloppy and the serving size was meager. The beet salad and tuna were enjoyable. Two guests ordered the cioppino which sadly included mussels that were still sandy and gritty. (Management took the cioppino off the bill) The rest of the seafood was reported to be delicious. I might give them a few months and try it again, but given the plentiful choices in the area, I'm not sure I will. I had high hopes for this place.

Very happy to have a new local restaurant with such quality food and service. An excellent job with the overall design and ambiance. The food was outstanding and our server was very attentive and friendly.

Food was amazing! We shared the beet jar and grilled octopus. Then had the Trout and Wagu burger. The vibe is upbeat, yet cozy. It’s a new Downingtown gem!

Third time here. Brought some friends this time. The 4 of us enjoyed the entire experience. Delicious food, excellent service, and nice ambiance.

Don’t plan on hanging out. We had a reservation for a group of 6. Just a group of middle aged friends who don’t get to see each other much, no real high expectations. Food was good, but a small limited menu. Nonetheless, we ordered the bread as an appetizer, and all ordered meals, and had dessert. Pizzas, burger, risotto & toffee dessert, all very good. Very loud atmosphere, but looking around the room, every table seems to be pretty content. Out of nowhere who I’m assuming is the Mgr, comes to our table and asked us to leave because they need rhetorical table. Pretty obvious that we were the only table that was requested to leave. To make it more awkward, as we were leaving there was absolutely nobody waiting in the lobby area for a table. All we could assume was that since they couldn’t sell us any alcoholic drinks our time there ran out. They don’t have a liquor license as of yet, so you have to bring your own. We had hoped this would be our new spot to meet up for dinner because it’s a good area for us all to meet. However, we won’t be back.

Really great new restaurant in Downingtown! The food was unique and everything we had was excellent. The service was stellar, and I want to shout out Courtney for her attention and above and beyond service. Even my picky Father wants to come back again!

Very limited menu choices. Somewhat cheeky. Our server Courtney was very kind and sweet. Would not return until they expand the menu options.

Nice mid-century modern vibe. Finishes are nice. Presentation good. Very loud but for whatever reason, I feel as though most restaurants are loud nowadays. Probably a result of hardwood and tile and granite, hard surfaces that don’t absorb sound like 1990s carpeting. Or odors or dirt but that’s off topic. Our server was Mark Anthony and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and making recommendations. Chicken Liver Mousse was perfectly prepared, loved the brandy soaked cherries, a really good treatment of chicken liver pate’. We also had the Tempura Cauliflower that my husband really enjoyed. He had the Risotto and I had the Wagu Burger for our Main Course. Loved the burger, perfectly cooked and garnished. I felt that the French fries were weak, not crispy enough. The Risotto was very good and flavorful. We brought our own wine. My husband complained of the tap water having a bad taste. He said it tastes like our water at home that he hates ;) I think maybe Dtown water has a flavor but who knows. Overall, an enjoyable meal in a place with a good vibe. Recommended.
