We have used No.23 on several occasions over the summer. We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary on the evening of 4th September with dinner. The service, food and ambience were all excellent. Our only very slight grumble was that we were seated at a very small table which was not big enough. We swapped mid meal when the next door table became available. Overall No.23 was very good and we would recommend it without reservation.

Attention of staff wasn't great, we had to wait ages for a drinks orser to be taken. Food was good. Disappointed to see people in gym gear sitting at the next table to us and swearing quite a bit. If you want to keep the ambience then you shouldn't encourage people like this or ask them to dress appropriately and not swear.

First time visit and will definitely return. From our welcome on arrival to our lunch and continued good service, we were so impressed. Highly recommended, thank you.

Enjoyed the seafood plates: the aubergine was rather bland. Lovely atmosphere let down by very slow service

Not the best. Food took ages to come, wasn't well done. Got a replacement which was good. Would go back again though maybe for dinner

Excellent meal & service. Highly recommend the outside room for celebrations! Staff very attentive, room has a staff call button & beautifully decorated.

We opted for the £10 market day special which did not disappoint. Hake with buttered shrimp, samphire and baby new potatoes lt was delicious and a reasonable portion considering the price. The service was exceptional. The girls were very attentive. This is my fourth visit and each time have left very happy!

£10 lunchtime special, delicious but very modest. We should have ordered a side dish of veg to accompany it. Quality and taste excellent just was a little too modest a serving. We know for next time. Beautiful outdoor space. Peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.

Went for the fish as I am a big fan, shared crab with other half, pleasant but not outstanding, hake was cooked beautifully & made my day with samphire.
