Another superb meal at No1, we've been coming here a few times a year for special occasions for ages and always had a great time. This time we brought my elderly parents who were very comfortable in the upstairs area, a bit more roomy than downstairs (and very pleased to see it's now fully part of the restaurant). Staff were charming and friendly, menu options were varied enough to please even my dad, and the food was excellent, especially enjoyed the fish specials (monkfish/John Dory). May have to start visiting more often in future :)

The food was extremely good. I had the set menu Caesar salad followed by a whole sole. My husband had a burger and we shared a carafe of Picpoul wine. We were both too full for a dessert. The waiter's service was excellent. We were seated in the windowless side of the restaurant on our own which could have been nice and quiet however the service staff were very loud constantly talking, even shouting at each other so it felt like we were in a working passage with all the food coming out past us as well as the noise. We had pre-booked and added that it was my birthday so really would have appreciated a better table.

Set menu at lunchtime very good value. I love fish, and every time I have had fish in this restaurant it was very good indeed.
