Wasn’t sure what to expect when we turned up! Menu was lovely, I don’t eat meat but do eat fish so there were a few options and I went for trout and caviar which was one of the tastiest dishes I have eaten in a long time, enjoyed with a side a chips which were proper cooker chips! Boyfriend has the park which he thoroughly enjoyed. Service was knowledgeable and tentative without being overpowering. 100% recommendation

Celebrated my wife's birthday with a lunch today at the restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Ask for the specials as there were a lot of good seafood options :-) We had the fish soup (hearty!), octopus (yummy!), and the oysters for starters; then the lobster (rich!), mussels (fresh!), and the sirloin (perfect medium rare!) for mains. We were full but made space for a creme brulee and the skillet cookie for dessert. Staff is very attentive and warm and the wait for food is reasonable. A charming gastropub in the center of Oxford city centre - don't miss this spot! Great recommendation from the TimeOut magazine 👍👍
