Great host and waiter we went for the surf & turf and it was amazing whole meal came to £167 which wasn’t to bad felt a bit cheeky to charge for water tho

We have been to No 1 Ship Street a few times now, this time was one of our favourites for our anniversary. We tried the garlic butter snails (for the first time) and they were delicious! Muscles and the terrine, also very tasteful. We had the surf and turf for our main which never disappoints! 10/10 service, highly recommend!

Lovely food and reasonable but fussy service, downside is that everyone was sitting very close so you could hear a lot of different conversations going on. It was very dark inside which made it difficult to read the menus. For this price you would think that these things would not be an issue

No. 1 Ship Street is a very nice restaurant. We went for a casual lunch but I imagine dinner vibe is more elevated and intimate. The food and service were both very nice although the portion sizes were quite small, especially the langoustine bisque and the octopus starter. I would recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant was not full (6:15) my server was nice, and food was “good” it just lacked flavour. I also hate having to pay for bread especially if you’re having mussels. Call me crazy. Dark, intimate.
