Tucked into a corner in the heart of Condesa, NIV is a bar de vino featuring small-production wines, an internationally inspired food program, and a cheeky, candlelit backroom with curated vinyl records, mezcal, and late-night bites for those not ready to end their night quite yet.

NIV’s carefully curated wine selection features small-production and independent producers wines from France, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Mexico, ranging from unique Pet Nats to orange wines aged in amphora to a classic selection of wines from Burgundy and Piemonte, delighting both the seeker of a traditional and the natural wine lover alike.

The food program at NIV by Executive Chef Diego Martínez draws inspiration from the team’s origins in Mexico and France. Relying on the seasonal produce Mexico has to offer, the menu is subject to change.

muy bueno para compartir algunos platos al centro y disfrutar un buen vino. la carta es extensa, los meseros tienen buenas recomendaciones. las botellas de vino arrancan en $1,000.-, los platos en $200.-

No tenían cocina abierta a las 8:30 pm, solo aceitunas y papas. el precio de los vinos y vino por copeo parecía más un restaurante normal que un wine bar, es decir muy caros como todo restaurante, unas 3 veces el precio público contra un wine bar. el ambiente del lugar no nos gusto, pero eso cada quien.

Honestamente una de las mejores experiencias en CDMX en mi opinión, una gema de la que se debería hablar más, no solamente son los cócteles y los vinos excelentes, pero lo que nos hizo regresar una y otra vez fue la comida, que fue realmente una experiencia de otro mundo! Altamente recomendado

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve at NIV. The food was so delicious and the service delightful. The whole evening was very special, and I would definitely return on a non holiday as well. I've been to many restaurants in Mexico City and this rates very high on my list.

Do not be fooled by available reservations here! They do not respect them at all - save your time! This was maybe the worst restaurant experience of all time? We made an 8:30p reservation for 6 of us on New Year's Eve here on Open Table and long story short, weren't seated until 10:30pm and 2 of the 'chairs' were wooden boxes. I have never experienced such bad customer service; the host just kept promising us that certain tables were paying and we could sit there and then we'd see the table receive a new bottle of wine and food, clearly not leaving. We were offered to sit on a bench outside (no heat and freezing) with no table in front of us. We asked for water after about an hour of waiting in the parking lot and it never came. No sense of urgency or remorse whatsoever. Why offer reservations if they mean nothing? The place can maybe hold 20 people total, they are severely understaffed. Also the "DJ"'s bass was so bad it rattled the table and we couldn't hear any conversation. This also meant the table next to us were yelling at each other to try and talk. Overall, this was an awful experience.

I made a reservation for 8:30 and I selected a regular table inside of the place but they could only give us that table until 9:30. Food is okay and the wine selection by the lady that took care of us was great.

Staff was welcoming and nice. The place is small but cozy. They mixed my order twice and they didn’t say much about the wine I was drinking.
