The full serve experience was worth it. The meat came cooked perfectly and the extra dishes were nice.

I really wanted to like this place, but the quality of the food just doesn’t meet my expectations. Let’s start with the positives, the service and ambiance is nice. We had a little difficulty finding the restaurant, but all of the hostesses and staff were more than helpful. We had 7pm reservations and got seated within 10 minutes. Our waiters were excellent all evening. The busboys are very diligent to keep your table free of used dishes. Even the valet service was very accommodating. The ambiance is nice. Feels almost upscale, but its patrons, its all you eat mentality, and the fact that you have to cook the meat yourself keep the place casual. Now let’s get into the food. We went with the $99 option. I thought the menu was a bit confusing as it was confusing when comparing against the $139 option. Basically, $99 means you get a few less meat options, you have to cook the meat yourself, and you get a few less specialty items to choose from. On the positive side, the beef selection and quality are impressive. If you really like wagyu beef, this may still be your place. Personally, I can only eat so much wagyu as it’s just too rich and fatty for my tastes and health. The seafood is just a big fail for me. The snow and king crab sounded fantastic, but the quality was poor and unappealing. The lobsters were slightly better but too small and again, just not enjoyable. The oysters were just plain bad. They didn’t taste clean nor fresh as expected - same with the scallops and shrimp. Thx small sashimi or poke plates were ok, but not distinguishable from other cheaper, commonly available Asian all you can eat seafood buffets. The desserts again were nothing notable. So, aside from the great service, nice ambiance, and nice variety of wagyu beef, this place is a pass for me. If you really like your Wagyu in a nicer restaurant with great service, maybe it’s worth the $99 per person.

NIKU X in LA is where my husband and I decided to celebrate our 9-year anniversary, we were visiting from Dallas. The wagyu beef was tender and full of flavor, while the Chilean sea bass just melted in your mouth. Surprisingly, the soup was a standout too--comforting and delicious. Every seafood or fish option was extremely fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was upscale but still inviting, perfect for a special night out. Our waiter, Wilson, was fantastic, making sure we were well taken care of and giving spot-on recommendations. Though a couple of small details could be fine-tuned, it was still an excellent night overall. Definitely a top spot for fine dining in LA!

My wife and I were excited to dine here after hearing about it on TikTok and Instagram. We arrived early for our reservation, and the staff graciously seated us ahead of schedule, which was fantastic. The service we received was decent for a busy Saturday night; while it wasn't exceptional, it was sufficient. We tried the self-serve option, and the Wagyu steak selections were outstanding—each one tasted incredible. Unfortunately, the crab legs and lobster tail were the most disappointing part of our meal. They didn’t resemble what we had seen on social media at all. The snow crab had more water than meat, and several crab legs yielded little to no meat when we cracked them open. The king crab was much smaller than we anticipated and also watery. Additionally, the lobster tails were cut in half and quite small, and the lemon garlic butter lacked flavor. Perhaps we caught them on an off day, but overall, we didn’t feel the experience was worth the money. We might consider giving this place another chance in the future, but it likely won't be anytime soon.

Incredible selection, attentive service (shout out to Meng) and such good value! Beautiful restaurant, and the food does not disappoint. The vast selection is sure to please even the pickiest eaters.

We prepared. We walked in. We conquered. Vibes were there, service was incredibly helpful and attentive, and the food was worth the wait. We were seated promptly and started eating. We paid for the $99 option and had plenty to choose from. We got full quickly but had 2 hrs to power through with various option. Definitely recommend to try at least once

Came here to celebrate a birthday party and there was absolutely nothing special about this place whatsoever. Ever since they changed to a buffet/all you can eat setting they have decreased their quality tremendously. I was here about two months prior and the entire ambience, service, food quality, etc. was wonderful but this time it was absolutely not worth a penny. After waiting over a month for this reservation, we didn’t get a table with a grill, nor did we get seated on time. I will say I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years and never had quite a disappointing experience like this one. For starters, our server was either in-training, new, or just lacked social awareness cues because before even taking our drink order, he was forcing us to begin ordering food from the all-you-can-eat menu due to the “strict 120 minute policy”. Mind you, we paid for the full experience at $140 per person just to be restricted on time *after* being seated over 20 minutes late and forced to start shoving food down our throats before getting a good look at the menu. I was in communication with someone from the restaurant through OpenTable prior to arriving and was told that we were going to get some sort of complementary “bubbles” for the birthday celebration, in lieu of balloons or a birthday dessert, since they don’t offer those. All of the food items that we ordered came out cold - aside from the potato pavè. And our waters were never refilled upon running low, unless we had to wave down the server or some other busser to request for more water. I noticed that certain items that we had not ordered were sent out to the table from the all you can eat menu, that is after being told that if we don’t complete our meals, we would be charged 30%. Maybe they’re trying to get you to pay that additional 30%? I will say that towards the end of the meal they were kind enough to bring us 2 shots and a few of the buffet desserts w/ a candle, which was really appreciated.
