Located in downtown Cincinnati across from the Aronoff Center, Nicholson’s is a restaurant and bar serving fine food and drink in a genuine Scottish tavern setting. Taking inspiration from the public houses found throughout Great Britain, our goal is to provide our guests with authentic hospitality and a brilliant dining experience. In addition to high-quality food, we offer a wide variety of beer, wine, and spirits featuring one of the best selections of single malt scotch whiskies in the area. Our family of restaurants has grown in recent years to include two new concepts: Horse & Barrel Bourbon House and the Backstage Event Center located next door from Nicholson's Pub. Horse & Barrel is an award-winning whiskey bar with 100+ whiskeys and bourbons, specialty cocktails, craft beers, small bites and a friendly bourbon-loving staff. The Backstage Event Center is a private event venue hosting rehearsal dinners, weddings, cocktail parties, corporate events and more.

                                                                                              We always enjoy a nice meal and a drink before a concert or show downtown. Thanks for making it an enjoyable evening. Caleb was great!

                                                                                              I had the Shepherd's Pie and my wife had the Corned Beef Rubin Sandwhich. I started with the flash-fried brussel sprouts -- everything was great. The atmosphere is very fun - Scottish Pub ambiance. Will definitely be back!

                                                                                              When we first got seated the restaurant smelled like a bathroom. There was a strong sulfur and poo smell. We weren't going to stay, but the waitress said she could move us to the other side and it would be better. It was mostly better. The food wasn't bad. Nothing incredibly special that I would love to have it again, but the Tavern salad was good. My husband and brother-in-law mainly came for the Kilkenny draft beer, which they search for in every city that we visit since first having it in Ireland.

                                                                                              Brought my Dinner Group and everything was great! Fish n chips were a disappointment to 1 person. Said fish was overcooked. But 8 of us had very good food! Desserts were delicious-- especially the sticky toffee bread pudding. Everyone enjoyed--- many hadn't been there in a long while. Great job 👏🏻

                                                                                              Then food was good. We were seated on the patio, so noise level was high. The sever was fine once she started bur we were there 20 minutes before she came for a drink order.
