« Tenant son nom du plus grand quotidien du sud de la France, le Nice Matin apporte à l’Upper West Side une touche de cuisine provençale et une petite présentation à la cuisine de Nice, berceau entre autres de la pissaladière et du pan bagnat et, si on en croit la carte, d’un énorme steak au comté, mariné à l’aïoli et servi avec des frites au romarin. C’est le meilleur hamburger depuis que Daniel Boulud a rassemblé foie gras et côtelettes dans un steak haché. Another beautiful meal at Nice Matin! They were slow to take our order, but this was a reunion party so we appreciated not feeling rushed. Everything was delicious and the server was gracious.

Late Lunch on President’s Day with less of a crowd, so it was quieter than usual. April was a great server and our favorite booth was available. We’re from AZ so whenever we stay at The Lucerne Hotel we come into Nice Matin once or twice. See you next trip and thanks again, Ralph S.

My husband and I were at Nice Matin for their special St. Valentine's Day dinner. The food was great, everyone in the place was happy; we got parting gifts of chocolate truffles and roses.

We had an overall great experience. The food and service was great. I found the server to be extremely attentive. 100% will be back.

Came for restaurant week. The food was fabulous, and the cocktail menu and wine list were also great. I had a great experience and would go back.

Shrimp beignets were good, beans on octopus starter were undercooked. Lamb dish was truly one of the worst things I’ve ever ordered anywhere in the world. Chewy lamb, strange tasteless sauce, mushy flavorless I’m not sure what - lentils maybe? Disappointing food all around. Service was attentive, friendly and excellent.

Restaurant was very crowded and noisy. I am allergic to nuts. Sticky Toffee Pudding (on R week special) is not usually made withnuts but had walnuts. My friend called ahead to say she was allergic to garlic and was told there'd be no problem. However, heer tuna nicosie salad arrived with canned tuna--not accceptable. Surely you could have grilled a quick piece of plain tuna. I asked for a roll and was till waiting after 20 minutes. The waitress was kind enough not to charge us for coffee or tea but it was a distressing experience.

Always a good choice for lunch or dinner. My favorite dish is their salade niçoise. Just had the toffee pudding for dessert for the first time. Pure ambrosia !
