« Tenant son nom du plus grand quotidien du sud de la France, le Nice Matin apporte à l’Upper West Side une touche de cuisine provençale et une petite présentation à la cuisine de Nice, berceau entre autres de la pissaladière et du pan bagnat et, si on en croit la carte, d’un énorme steak au comté, mariné à l’aïoli et servi avec des frites au romarin. C’est le meilleur hamburger depuis que Daniel Boulud a rassemblé foie gras et côtelettes dans un steak haché. Much too noisy! Nicoise was not the usual preparation. It was filled with bell peppers, which is not traditional.

Nice Matin has a lovely ambiance. Service is excellent and the food is consistently very good. We will definitely be going back again and again.

Always a pleasure to be here and to bring guests here. The food is reliably excellent, as is the service and ambience. A special thanks to Lisa, the hostess and to the sommelier: no pretension, just wonderful knowledge of their amazing wine inventory. He found us a 2018 Burgundy from a modest commune and at a (relatively) modest price!

Brought my date there for Brunch, first time there, won’t be my last. The food was delicious, the service was top notch, they have indoor or outdoor seating- - overall, it was a beautiful restaurant. EJ

Beautiful experience. It has been quite a few years since the last time my husband & I dined at Nice Matin. Not because we had a bad experience just that when visiting NYC we started staying in Midtown vs the Upper West Side. Andres, our waiter, in this visit to Nice Matin couldn’t have been nicer & his suggestions of wine & food & service was great. We had the burrata, cavalleti with mushrooms, steak frites, chocolate soufflé & apple tart. All were delicious. The restaurant has been very well kept up. We certainly will be back! Wishing all continues success!
