Nic & Norman's, a restaurant founded by an ownership group headlined by Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero, is bringing its unique Southern-inspired cuisine and speakeasy vibe to Greenville, South Carolina.

Located in the heart of the city's West End, the restaurant will occupy the former Smoke on the Water building. The space will undergo a transformation, with the bar and entrance moving to the front and the dining area situated towards the back. Expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere with a touch of speakeasy charm.

The menu features a variety of Southern-inspired dishes, including delectable entrees, gourmet burgers, flatbread pizzas, and brunch options. The chefs use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients prepped daily to create innovative and comforting dishes that cater to a variety of tastes.

Food was very good and reasonably priced. Ambience was poor for our visit. The restaurant is pretty cool with beautiful chandeliers, but we were placed in a small booth in the back corner by the back door/parking lot so it was a terrible view on one side of the booth, but even the other side facing the restaurant couldn’t really see much due to a larger booth in front that obstructed the view so we didn’t get to enjoy the wall photos & chandeliers after all. It was our anniversary and our first time at the restaurant so poor seating was a total buzzkill. Service was moderate. Our waitress started strong and attentive but was absent during the meal and took too long to get to-go boxes and the check. There was a large, loud party (that we could only hear but not see due to seating) so maybe that’s where our waitress was caught. Would ask to sit at the bar next time for better ambience and visibility.

The side room lacks ambience. I would go back to try their burgers, but the flatbread I ordered had BBQ sauce that was way too sweet and very little brisket. Overall in comparison to other restaurants the food was just average.

Our first time here. The service was outstanding. The food was just okay. My husband thought the potatoes were way too salty. Lots of fat on the steak. It just wasn't that good.

Fantastic place for dinner, food was spectacular and drinks hit the spot (I recommend the cucumber mule if you like cucumber). Atmosphere was great, music audible but not overbearing. Prices were fair for the great product. 10/10 recommend!

Nice new restaurant. Flatbread pizzas awesome. The chicken dish a bit dry. I think the menu has to have more selections. Will be back !!
