Great ambiance, open air overlooking the water. Food is well presented but overcooked, both dishes. Very disappointing.

Slow service even with nobody eating there. Must have been a kitchen thing. Food good staff nice soup ice cold They did not charge me for it.

We had been to Niba the previous night and had such a good meal and great service that we decided to go back to try more of the menu!! BIG mistake! The service took forever because the kitchen must have been preparing for the big function in the room next door and restaurant guests were not prioritized. There were about 6 tables in the restaurant and all had to wait a good 45 minutes between starter and entree. The servers got a little shy after being asked 10 times where the food was and disappeared for about 20 minutes. When the food did comes it was up to the previous night's high standard, but the service let Niba down completely!! We are unlikely to be in Panama City again anytime soon, but if we are, we will check if there is a wedding in the hotel before we book Niba.

We had a reservation, but were not told there was special prices for the evening. We were charged over $300 for a buffet and four glasses of house wine. It was a complete ripoff.

I’m glad I opted for the tasting menu. It hit all the things I was planning to order anyway. The view is amazing— wasn’t expecting it to be outdoor seating! Definitely will come back if back in Panama.
