Our menu represents Chef Michael's Blackie’s best food memories, which span over his 35 plus international career Chef worked in Asia, Latin America and is an expat from the UK.
His food style can best be described as a balance between Canadian roots with a strong influence in both Asian, Latin and European cuisines.
We are currently open for Dinner weekly Wednesday to Sunday from 5 to 9 pm. Starting October 21st know we are open 7 days a week. We are known for our blind tasting menu that features 8 dishes shared between 2 people. We are also open for Sunday Brunch from 10am to 1 pm and offer a sharing 10 dish brunch tasting menu presented over 5 waves.
NeXT opened in 2009 and is consistently in the top drawer of established restaurants in the Ottawa / Gatineau region. NeXT has been awarded many accolades over these past 11 years.

We did the chef tasting menu with wine pairing for my husbands birthday. Everything was excellent and we cannot wait to return.

We shared the blind tasting menu for four guests and despite not knowing what food would be served, we were pleased with the visually desirable and delicious food that was presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the server was attentive and knowledgeable. Overall 5/5 for both food and experience.

The service was great. Michael presented us with all the courses of our blind sharing menu. My wife and I were there for our anniversary and had a great experience. The food was very flavourful, the wine pairing was great and the presentation was perfect. Thank you!

We were so impressed with the food & service at our daughter’s wedding, that we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary dinner at NeXt. We weren’t disappointed. Chef Michael Blackie came to our table and highlighted their signature cocktails, as well as their menu. Food was impeccable and made our taste buds sing. We ordered the Kapow cauliflower, the Drunken Noodles and the Prosciutto-wrapped pork tenderloin. Even our espressos were high quality coffee. It was definitely worth the 45 minute drive. Can’t wait for the next time.

The food is always phenomenal but the service is the highlight. Any time you are fortunate to have Chef Michael Blackie serve you, the meal will even be that much more incredible!
