Our menu represents Chef Michael's Blackie’s best food memories, which span over his 35 plus international career Chef worked in Asia, Latin America and is an expat from the UK.
His food style can best be described as a balance between Canadian roots with a strong influence in both Asian, Latin and European cuisines.
We are currently open for Dinner weekly 7 days week from 5 to 9 pm. We are known for our blind tasting menu that features 8 dishes shared between minimum of 2 people. We are also open for Sunday Brunch from 10am to 1 pm and offer a sharing 5 course - 10 dish brunch tasting menu.
NeXT opened in 2009 and is consistently in the top drawer of established restaurants in the Ottawa / Gatineau region. NeXT has been awarded many accolades over these past 11 years.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. The space was very noisy so we felt like we had to yell at each other. We asked to be moved to a quieter area if possible. Even though it was a very busy night they managed to find us a table that was quieter which we really appreciated. We would definitely dine here again but we would choose a different time/day of the week with hopes that it would not be as noisy.

NeXt is the most amazing restaurant. The staff are absolutely amazing and they all work hard to make you feel at home. Chef Blackie has created the most amazing dishes and he is definitely such a kind and thoughtful person.

NeXT is a favourite of mine. I highly recommend the blind tasting menu, it gives you a taste of a bunch of NeXT classic dishes, and I've never had one that's missed.

Delicious food, excellent service. I highly recommend trying the blind sharing option! A great way to try so many different flavours. You will be pleasantly surprised by the foods you might never have thought to try that end up being to die for!

Overall very good. It was at the peak of Christmas party season it was very very busy and caused some delays in service but the staff communicated very well.

Party of 4 celebrating a birthday. We were seated right next to the stunning floor to ceiling Christmas tree. We chose the blind sharing menu. Each dish was nicely presented and tasted great. Hard to pick a favourite. Server was on his game as were the other wait staff. Even with how busy it was on a Friday leading up to Christmas, everything went smoothly. Cheers.
