Was given a gift card for $100 and told prime rib night is Thursdays. Went on a Thursday and was told the specials and after not hearing prime rib I asked if it was available and was told, “no not this week”. Disappointed but figured we would be satisfied with something else. The Caesar salad is great but it does have some spice which was unexpected. Also, be forewarned that when the waitress asks what type of salad you want with your meal it’s $10 extra! However it was our favorite part of the meal. We started with duck egg rolls and while they were good, my husband bit into his and had a pained expression. He found a large metal bead in the meat. We quietly showed the waitress as to not draw negative attention for other guests and she showed a man who was drinking at the bar scrolling on his phone who we found out later was the manager. The waitress was very kind and apologetic (she seemed embarrassed honestly). The manager was unphased. He said, “oh wow let me look into this”, took the plate and came back a few minutes later and said “sorry about that guys I guess that duck had a glass eye” and laughed it off and went back to his drink and friend at the bar. Didn’t offer to comp the appetizer or anything. My husband refused to try another piece of it. The wait time for food was extremely long (45 minutes for entrees) and there was only 3 other tables. The steak medallions were amazing but all in all for a $250 dinner we felt extremely ripped off. I was hoping to find something local that would suffice for fine dining to avoid having to go to Fort Worth for upscale food. I think it has a lot of potential but with this manager and lack of concern for patrons safety and satisfaction I don’t see it succeeding. Sadly underwhelming.

We enjoy the Saddlerack, the food is great, the service is great. You can never go wrong when you stop in. We like coming in for the experience, our special occasions, or even just a quick lunch. I like the fact that there is always something new on the menu, while the favorites remain. We rarely get desserts when we dine out but we don’t miss getting ours here..lol even took an order to go, so we could enjoy it after we relaxed after that great meal. Newton’s is a place we tell our friends they have to try… We get out of town guests, we take them here.. It’s not just a place to eat, but a place to experience fine dining in boots and jeans.

This was the first visit for my wife and me. Excellent. The food tasted great and the portions were very large. We want to go back and try the rest of the menu.

We love Newton’s Saddlerack in Stephenville, TX. Great steakhouse with a cozy, western vibe. Full bar offered. Our group of four skipped appetizers, starting with salads. The wedge salad and house salads were large and could easily be shared. Very fresh ingredients offered. Steaks were served as ordered and sea bass tender and moist. Deserts of crème brûlée and Kaluah brownie and ice cream were thoroughly enjoyed. A wonderful evening enjoyed among friends. Great service, food and atmosphere.

The food was amazing♥️ Definitely a must-try while in Stephenville. The food was so delicious, upscale, and demonstrated out-of-the-box flavors. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Our red snapper was undercooked and sides were not what we requested. Had to send it back and order a completely different meal. Our drinks were not made right and had to be remade as well. Overall, very disappointing for the prices.
