New Vida Preserve Restaurant is located in the re-imagined former Paleface Ski Mountain Lodge and now the largest resort in the Adirondacks at 2000 acres. It offers stunning views of Whiteface Mountain. Enjoy a creative menu that includes American Classics with a twist combined with bold globally-inspired flavors. You can dine in our Grand Dining Room, our Craft Bar area with live music or our more casual Billiards Lounge, all with stunning view and beautiful architecture. The expansive & diverse menu, the sensible pricing and feel-good vibes make NewVida a place where you can gather in with friends and family regularly for a memorable Adirondack experience. The restaurant is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm to 9pm. Come in early and enjoy a drink at our handmade craft bar, lined with skis from the Preserve’s former life as a ski resort or take a stroll after dinner around our romantic pond & dock. Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins are always welcome.

The food is delicious. Sarah was a wonderful waitress who was very helpful. She even told us about where to go in the area. We asked for her the next night, as well, and she continued to be an awesome waitress. I would definitely come back here to eat again and stay.

New Vida is a picturesque spot and a beautiful setting. The service was attentive, and some of the food was delicious, while some was oversalted and that made the dish hard to eat.

We want this resort to do well, and this review is only a review of their early food service progress. We arrived at 6 for a 6:15 reservation finding an empty main dining room. We were told that we could not be seated until 6:15 and pointed toward the bar. We were welcomed by a packed bar and noisy diners at the tables in this smaller space. Interesting cocktails were well made and delicious. After we were seated in the main, vaulted space, our server greeted us and took wine orders and our order for the wedge salad to start and share followed by the blueberry pork chops for husband and the chicken for me. Forty five minutes passed before ALL of the food arrived at once. Bemused, I explained that we wanted the salad with shrimp first. It is a starter. We told her we’d keep the entrees but we no longer wanted the salad. She was gracious if confused, and the salad was not on the bill. The chops were not at all pink, so a bit past our taste, but with the sauce, my husband liked his meal. My chicken breast came with a delicious sauce which provided moisture to the slightly dry grilled breast. The “silky” sweet potatoes were flavorful if a bit lumpy and the broccolini on the plate was a nice touch. Before we finished our entrees, our server asked whether we wished to have dessert. We did not, but the timing again was off. I suggest that you go to this restaurant and order the nine napkin burger which many around us had ordered. Or only a starter.

Such a wonderful new addition to the north country. Food was excellent although my steak was a little tough. Staff and servers were incredibly helpful and friendly. Will be back again soon!

We had a 7;00 p.m. reservation and had to wait a good 15 minutes (we were the only ones) to be seated to later learn that two waiters never showed up. So, there were only two waiters who were attending both rooms AND doing seating. That said, Sam did an excellent job and the fair rating on service is no way a reflection of his work, but rather the situation he found himself in. He remained calm, cool, collected and very professional. The following day (Sunday) we could not find my wallet and thought it might be at the restaurant and despite many attempts to reach a staff member we only got voice message and disappointed that no one could return my call until the following day. We drove the 45 minutes to then find it in the parking lot.

Gorgeous view. We went on a night that 2 staff called out so everyone rallied around our on the run waiters. Sam served us with great humor. I had the lettuce wedge which was missing the promised pork belly, along the Peruvian chicken. My wife had. The chicken wings and French fries with garlic mayo. I recommend the peanut butter chocolate sundae.

It was busy for a Saturday evening, and unfortunately the place had only 2 waiters who worked super-hard and tried to get it all done. Kudos to those guys - especially our guy "Sam". Apparently 2 other staff members had called out on that particular evening. Hopefully when the busy season hits they'll get more help. They actually comp'ed some food and drink due to the long wait (really nice to do), and again it wasn't their fault. Nice place - good food - good music (Russ Cook was playing and singing, great voice, good guitar-playing). I'll be back again, and I'll check out the yoga and wellness classes that they have on site, too. Seems like a really cool place in addition to the restaurant. I also hope they expand the bar in the future - make it bigger, maybe into the pool table area!

I love the restaurant, food and people. The staff was courteous and efficient. My one comment is the one man band who was who's snare drum and banging, playing 3 instruments at once, really comprised our dining experience. Simple guitar playing would suffice. I don't think we need loud uncomfortable drums and symbols for the dining experience. Your place is such a regal, beautiful atmosphere, and your music should compliment it not fight it. I'm a music lover, he would be best suited for 20 Main. However, I will be back again. Thank you!!
