Set in the picturesque village of Medbourne, in the heart of the beautiful Welland Valley, The Nevill Arms is an old stable yard and coaching inn bordering on Medbourne brook. The Nevill has ten boutique bedrooms, a stunning restaurant, welcoming bar and our brand new Josper Bar & Grill which is set back in its own private courtyard.

It was recently bought in 2021 by The Three Goat's Group and has undergone a major refurbishment whilst still keeping its original character.

Our brand new Josper Bar & Grill can be found in our rear courtyard. Surrounded by an array of beautiful flowers and our ancient olive tree, it is the perfect place to while away those summer days. The menu is all cooked from a Josper Oven & Josper Basque Grill, that utilises open charcoal flames to give unmistakable Summer time flavours. All day table service & fully stocked outdoor bar. Food served from 12pm all day until 8pm.

From the moment we arrived and were met by Harvey the whole Nevill experience was great. The pub, our room and the food was fabulous.

Unfortunately the service was very very slow. We were there over 2hrs and only had 2 courses. Unfortunately our mains weren’t great. Shame as love the place normally

Looking for a new location for our anniversary lunch we chose the Nevill Arms based on feedback we had heard. We were not disappointed. It wasn't actually "new" - having been there 35 years ago and again about 12 years ago, but this was the first time under this ownership. It was busy in the bar, we went in to the restaurant which was quiet and a very pleasant room. The food was excellent. The combination of nibbles, starter and main courses means most people would find a nice balance. Some pub classics with some nice bistro style dishes, not too large a menu but a good choice. Cooking and presentation were excellent, wonderful flavours throughout. Service was informal, pleasant and efficient. A very enjoyable experience I'm sure we will repeat

Booked a table for six in the garden for a 1.00 lunch. had to wait 80 minutes for the food to be served. Would have walked out but we had friends visiting that we hoped to impress. Pub has always been over the top on price but so have the owners other pubs. Such a shame as its in a fabulous setting and the food is fine once it arrives. Have eaten there on several occasions but unless somebody else is footing the bill we wont be back. There are plenty of excellent pub/ restaurants nearby who offer much better customer service .

Great menu with a varied choice and blackboard specials. Really good choice of beer and wines with outside seating by the stream. Service is friendly and professional with outstanding tasting food. We will certainly return.

Lovely restaurant and great service, the only reason I've not given a 5 star overall review was that it was a supper club (ony two menu choices, one meat and one vegetarian) which I wasn't aware of, but I'll definitely be back to try the full menu.

We happened to go to the Nevill Arms on a Monday which, apparently, is their 'Supper Club' Food was out at 7pm. Fixed menu: Choice of 1 x meat or 1 x veggie dish plus a dessert. £15 per person. Nice drinks menu on top. The food was very well cooked and unfussy in a stylish way. (Brisket beautifully glazed / Hen's Nest Mushroom nicely chunky + potato salad, corn and red pepper salsa) The decor is smart in a dark blue modish way with various pops of colour. The service (3 smart young women and the Maitre d') was prompt, attentive and courteous in a very delightful way (albeit one too many 'guys' and "no worries') We were in and out in an hour which was perfect since we were shattered after a long drive. That said, it didn't feel at all rushed. Other guests tarried and there were various tables of jolly groups as well as twosomes. A really positive experience and all the better for being a surprise. A format other places could learn from on a Monday.
